Dr. Frank Peter Mannarino, MD

Pain got worse after surgery. There are many other fine surgeons in the Miami Valley.

I have gone to Mannarino after I blew out my knee snow skiing. Upon examination, he told me: " Yeah your acl is torn, but your not really an athlete so don't worry about it" . He told be get fitted for a mid-thigh to mid-calf knee brace; which never really worked. What about quality of life? So I lived with an unstable knee that would give out if I tried any sports; vollyball, softball, etc. Fast forward 6 years and I finally had ACL reconstruction done by a great Orthopedic Surgeon in Indianapolis. And never had an issue since. Shame on you, "Dr". Mannerino. Still drive the "whale tail"?

Dr. Mannarino cared for me after a shoulder dislocation after a ski accident last year. He was excellent. The staff got me right in the following morning after the mishap! He has also treated me for patella arthritis with Euflexa shots in both knees 2 biannually. It's been a good treatment so far since I ski 3 days a week with patrol. In the summer, I mountain bike. I'm 59 years old and in good physical shape, not overweight which is a big plus.

Dr. Mannarino was the second surgeon I'd seen after 2 months of knee pain. The first one left me with no satisfaction and no options. Thankfully, that didn't happen this time. Dr. Mannarino entered the room, professional, not smiling, (and that's okay!) but ready to hear my story, assess my situation, looked at a previously done MRI, discussed my results, did a more thorough physical examination than the last doctor, and efficiently explained his diagnosis and course of care. I felt as if he paid attention, actually HEARD what I said, did not just shine me on, and did indeed care that this patient in front of him receive the best of his ability to treat. I left feeling as if I'd seen someone who knew what he was doing, was gentle and patient, a true doctor. He inspired trust in his care and in his abilities and that is NOT easy these days. I would indeed return to him if I have any other issues in the future, and be comfortable recommending him.

I advise anyone who seeks treatment from Mannarino to seriously reconsider. Not only do I find him to be sub pair at best but his staff is just as terrible. They lied constantly to us about faxing reports, submitting documents etc. Due to their less than professional behaviors my family has been subjected to near financial ruin.

Worst doctor I've ever met. Total waste of money.

Mannarino did a surgery on my knee in 1985. When I has having problems with pain in 2005 he was very uncaring in his comments. He actually laughed when he said that my only option was total knee replacement. He never discussed and said I didn't have any other options or treatments. He is not someone I would ever use again. I got a 2nd opinion and was given other options that have helped with my knee for almost 10 years now. I will never hire him or any other doctor working with him. Do not choose this guy!!!

very rude,made uncalled comments about patients weight,he said they should go home and ride a bike..he wouldnt do surgery because patient was too fat.very unprofessional,drs are supposed to be supportive and caring,not self righteous and pompous,if you are overweight DO NOT see this so called dr. if you are overweight you mean nothing to him,,he could care less, you are not worthy in his opinion for care.so beware ..hes a mean nasty man!!
