Dr. Fred H. Williams, MD

I was very pleased with Dr. Williams for my consultation. He was very personable and professional all at the same time. Always grateful for good doctors.

I saw Dr. Williams’s nurse practitioner in my initial visit and brought detailed records of previous medical tests, treatments and diagnosises. My first encounter with Dr. Williams was at a colonoscopy the NP scheduled. Two weeks later at a follow-up appointment, the doctor did not recall the colonoscopy or even my name. My file was empty. All his follow up conversations were in a most flippant manner. I never received any holistic or nutritional support as I had hoped. I did receive a boutique pharmacy hers with a long term antibiotic. When I called about concerns, the doctor said he did not believe in this treatment anyway and told me to stop. He prescribed it! My primary referred me to another doctor after Dr. Williams told me I only needed CT scan every three years although due to conditions, all previous doctors had monitored me yearly. A month after Dr. Williams said I did not need to be scanned, a liver cyst painfully ruptured. The entire experience with this office was… most disappointing. Thank you goodness that my primary care doctor has put me in good hands with excellent GI and liver specialists. This doctor is not one of them.

I have been a long term patient of Dr. Williams and I have had a good experience. My Crohn's has been in check for almost 20 yrs. He is adaptive, I have had cancer (unrelated to my gut) but he has always been open to listening to my guidance on how my body is reacting. Doesn't make decisions without my consultation which is great. I have seen some reviews about him being holistic. Well...maybe to some extent. But I think people have to realize that the holistic approach doesn't always work if you have active disease. Just because you can do a google search, doesn't make you a MD. Dr. Williams is a great doc.

Dr. Williams was recommended to me by a friend who shares my passion for health and wellness. His holistic approach to medicine is truly refreshing and inspiring. He was courteous, respectful, and very knowledgable

Went here based on the fact that this doctor, supposedly, leans on the holistic side of treatment. I was grossly disappointed. I'd been diagnosed with some GI issues, by another doctor, but wasn't having success with meds. Although, I'd done extensive research on the net regarding nutritional suggests, etc...I wanted to include a professional to better guide me through it all. I waited 3 weeks for the appointment with Dr. Williams and can't tell you how disappointing the visit was. I did not feel "open arms" here. Outside of a few herbs there were no nutritional discussions! I expected 1.) inquiries regarding my current diet (if my stomach hurts...wouldn't knowing what I put in it be of interest? and 2.) suggestions on what to or not to consume that may help or hurt. I don't know. The guy was just real dry and monotone and didn't seem overly eager to jump in and try to give it his best. I guess the short of it is....if you are seeking someone with extensive "holistic"… knowledge...this isn't the guy.

I started seeing Dr Williams for severe indigestion, for which over-the-counter meds weren't helping anymore. He asked a lot of questions and spent a fair amount of time with me. He was very nice, and explained things in a logical yet simple way. I would recommend him.
