Dr. Fred M. Nichols, DO

I've been a Dr Nichols patient for probably around 16 years. He is the best! He takes the time to speak with me. He's personable. I trust him with my health. I am thankful to have a few good doctors in my life for many years..and Dr Nichols is definitely one of them!

Dr. Nichols performed my surgery. He was caring and kind. Reassuring me that he'd take good care of me. I felt safe and well cared for throughout the entire process. He was at the hospital even late at night to check on me. I really can't recommend him enough! Makes you feel like an old friend!

I have had two children under Dr. Nichols' care. I have had no problems with his service and the staff I found to be very welcoming! Anytime I call and try to get an appointment they are always quick to fit me in , and I would rather be in and out and not sit and wait since I have two children and am busy. Dr. Nichols might be quick , but if you are concerned he respects your concerns and answers your questions and is knowledgable.

I have been seeing Dr. Nichols for years. I love his casual attire. His calm funny demeanor. I feel as if he is "One of us" He is not intimidating nor does he act like he is better then anyone. He does not dismiss your concerns. He did not deliver my children. He was not around at that time. I always refer him to all of the woman I know. Love his bedside manner!! A real down to earth kind of guy.

He is horrible! All about the money! Should not be allowed to practice medicine!

This guy is crazy. You ask him questions he blows you off. He makes inappropriate comments. He's rude, and makes you feel like you're an idiot for wasting his time. He dresses like he's ready for a round of golf. A patient spends more time in the waiting room than with him. Be prepared to call countless times over several days just to get a prescription renewed. And also be ready for the fact that it will be incorrect, and you will need to call one more time.

Went to Dr. Nichols to have a procedure done. Starting with the staff at his office, Newton Hospital and their staff up until the time of my procedure, all was explained to me and what was to be expected. Everyone made me feel very comfortable and especially Dr. Nichols. He made me feel at ease and also explained what was to be done. This made me feel that I picked the right physician. Thank you again Doctor.

Definitely glad I found Dr. Nichols! Caring, compassionate, professional and thorough. Went above and beyond for me. Had to have a hysterectomy....he explained everything to me so that I knew exactly what to expect. Surgery went perfectly and I recovered quickly! The office is very clean and welcoming. The staff is excellent. I never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes to be seen. He is a very knowledgeable and personable doctor. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. I wish I would have found him years ago!!!

I went 2 Dr Nichol after I was diagnosed with a slight prolapse (vagina & bladder)in hosp...When I got 2 the office, I was told I needed to fill out LOTS of paperwork that would take up 2 an hour!!-YES! and hr- for new patients..I could write a 10 page story on how messed up this Dr & office is.....The Dr cut me off immediatley while I was trying to explain the problem I had, then he couldnt understand why I felt weird inside (because of leaning prolapse) that he actually made a face like he was grossed out & rushed me out of the exam room saying "u need to make a new appt after u have a bowel movement"...I didnt know what was goin on, I was thinking is this really happening...I went 2 walk into his office, cause they usually speak with u afterwards, well he blocked me, he stood between the doorway & put his hand up....I was asked him a question & he didnt know the answer, so he gave me 2 differant answers...then I started 2 ask him what I should do about my problem in th meantime &… he just spoke over me loudly 2 a girl down the hallway in waiting room calling her in.....I left so ashamed, embarrassed, & upset...so the next week I called & requested a copy of my visit so I could go 2 a new Dr, & the office staff would not release the info 2 me...I then told them my concerns about my visit & asked 2 speak with the Dr, they said NO, I called back again & the office manager told me not to call the office again or they would call the police!!!!

I have had Dr Nichols as my obgyn for over 13 years - he is professional, caring, sensitive, and straight forward - couldn't love him more. If he ever stops practicing I will be lost
