He completed his residency in pediatrics at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS, and practiced at U.S. air bases in Japan and Virginia. While at Langley AFB, he served as Chief of Pediatric Services, Chief of Maternal Child Flight, and Assistant Chief of Medical Staff.
