I found Dr Wenzel to be very efficient, and thorough answered all my questions and explained in detail what the situation was I would for sure recommend him to my friends

Rushed through examination. Told me that the places I was concerned about was just because I was getting old.

For being a new patient, I expected the doctor to take the time to do a new patient assessment and learn a little bit about my skin habits. Man, was I wrong. After I finally got back to the exam room, the nurse asked me the same exact questions that I had answered on my paperwork, then the doctor came in. He walked in with an irritating arrogance and told me I probably had scabies before he even glanced my direction. You just do not tell people they have scabies unless many other, easier options are eliminated. When someone tells you you have scabies, or something similar, chances are, you're going to get offended. I was. Then he actually looked at me and decided it was only dermatitis and spouted off orders to the nurse about a prescription and an acne wash. Before I know it, he is coming at me with a lancet needle sticking me "just to see if he could grow something." Uh, excuse me, but you need to ask my permission before you poke me with anything, sharp or otherwise. He then… proceeded to toss the swab on the counter and leave. Pretty positive of two things here: that the counter is not a sterile environment to place a culture swab and the nurse is not the doctor's personal slave. The one thing I got a chance to say to him before he left was rudely brushed off as just some dumb little girl. It is now about eight hours later and my pharmacy never received my script that was supposed to be sent over within an hour and upon inspecting the acne wash, it's not suited for sensitive skin. Guess what, I have sensitive skin. If he was actually concerned about his patients, he would have asked if I had sensitive skin. So now I'm being charged for a dermatology appointment and am absolutely no better off than before I went there. I work as a health profession in a hospital and I know that if I ever had that kind of bedside manner or attitude in general, I'd be in a world of pain with my boss, coworkers and patients.

I had a questionable spot on my back. As soon as Dr. Wenzel looked at it, he (later) told me he knew it was cancerous melanoma. He removed it at once, sent it to the lab, and sure enough, it was melanoma. On the follow up visit he had to take more skin and muscle that surrounded the area to ensure he got it all. He did. I've been on annual visits with him for years and he is always very thorough and extremely professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone who may have questionable skin conditions. He is an excellent physician, very caring, great bedside manner.

He did not even know some of the cures I had received previously by a different dr. I never felt like I received a decent check up. Finally found another dr. farther away but more aggressive, which I need.

Says (your opened wound site from a skin cancer removal) looks "good" when in fact you have a bad mirsa infection that he just let get worse.

Totally misdiagnosed a very simple issue for a dermatologist.Was in a hurry. Didn't really want to observe or spend time. Got the feeling he really didn't want to be near me, even though I had nothing contagious, and nothing gross about me.
