Dr. Gabriel Lopez, MD

I am highly recommending Dr Lopez based on my positive experience with his office. His staff is phenomenal. Each and everyone of his front desk personnel is attentive, caring and "on top" of their job. I have observed them when I have come in for appointments and they are hard working and take their jobs seriously. I am most impressed by their politeness, attitude and their excellent follow up. This is my first time experience with a pain management Dr in Corpus, as I moved here from Houston and had excellent Dr's there. I am relieved to know that not only is Dr Lopez is a competent and caring Dr., but his staff definitely deserves a 5 star rating.

Dr Lopez is great but couple of staff needs to get sent tona customer service course. I just had my steroid shot today and as soon as I got home this lady from his office DEMANDING for me to pay $31 fir dr’s visit at his office. No good morning, no pleasantries asking if I’m okay. All she wanted is for me to pay NOW. According to her it needs to get paid NOW. When I went to get my EMG done I omly see the tech to do the test and I paid no question ask. This person that demanded I pay now because she’s been calling according to her to let me know I still need to pay the other office even though I was never there for procedure . I told her she send me the bill because I literally just got home snd a little groggy and yet she’s insisting for me to pay NOW. This office also caused me to go to ER for extreme pain because I was told results will be in 48-72 hrs so I was scheduled for follow up one week from exam done. The people I dealt with are rude, no compassion. Dr Lopez and Tech are… professional. I wouldn’t want to go back to this office and will for sure inform Tricare about all these

Has helped with my chronic pain from cervical stenosis , sever musculoskeletal disorders that interfered with my ability to walk or turn head I am at least 80 % better & he has managed my pain so that I can function

He chastised me for things that weren't correct...as if he was reading someone else's patient information. He told me that I had scoliosis and RA, then later told me that I didn't even have RA. ??? He said I had refused hydrotherapy, when I had never been offered that...then argued with me about it. This was my first and only visit. I finally gave up and left.

Did not wait long to be seen by the doctor

Dr. Lopez has explicit manners. He has a genuine concern for patients and takes his time explaining procedures & has the patents well being first. He has an extreme heavy load & I respect him his staff & nurses - Wonderful group of proffesionals

This has to be worst place ever you have an appointment at 3 or to be true it doesn't matter what time your appointment is look to wait over an hour to be seen and don't be referred to another doctor and the doctor say the staff will set your appointment for you and then will call you with it because it will never happen I have been waiting over a week I called them was on hold for over 15 mind called back she said that they still haven't call the other doctor that I was referred to and the ecuse was that they are short hand am like for over a week and the only job she have is to sit on the phone and make appointments really a kid teenager can do that job how hard is it and the reason I said that because that is what this person does only these people do not value your time or care about the pain you are in

I transitioned out. When I went to pick up my medical records I was given mine along with someone else's private records as well.I'm still trying to locate be patient. Its very fortunate I got out as soon as I did. Also, one of the reviewers mentioned that she was punished for trying to reschedule an appointment. I was treated the same way. They scheduled my appointment for 2 months later and refused to fiIl my prescriptions leaving me in a horrible physical state. I wash my hands of them and move forward. When I went to pick up my records there was a middle aged lady laying on the floor. I alerted the staff as I quietly whispered to the front office staff. She shrugged her shoulders and did absolutely nothing. I was overwhelmed. Run ,don't walk out of there! and yes, I was almost put on something so strong that it is for people who are withdrawing from heroin. I refused the medication and we went another route. Do your research and don't put anything in your mouth before you research… it completely.

Never return calls...you will wait for HOURS to see PA or Liu who is not board certified. Nursing staff is rude. Always issues and problems. They overcharged after setting me up for a stem/tens appointment and I was never about it, but charged anyway. Worst office, most unprofessional staff and dr ever. Stay away. Always takes 3 hrs min for appointment.

I have multiple injuries and I am taking medications, and still in a lot of pain so I was told to see a pain doctor to see if he would have other options to help me. First of all we are in a doctors office and I do take in consideration that other appointments will take longer than others. I then saw nurses that came in and I explained my injuries and how I have received a nerve block from a neurologist that didn't work. The nurses said okay no problem you can explain that to the doctor. I waited a good 40 min not including waiting in waiting room. Then I saw Dr. Lopez. He politely introduced himself then I explained my injuries. I then felt a little anxious because he was suggesting a shot to help constrict my nerve damage. I was already thinking twice about coming because my friend said he had a bad experience. Since I already had an appt. I decided to be open minded and give him a chance. Then I mentioned how a friend of mine explained to me his bad experience with Dr.Lopez now he… can hardly walk after his treatment. Then the doctor got in the defensive and started raising his voice very very rudely that he's not a drug dealer!I've already been through enough and all I was trying to explain is my fear. I've broke over 27 bones and I'm only 28...I was in a bad car accident. My family doctor explained to me with my kind of injuries I need a pain management doctor to not only prescribe medicine that can be more beneficial but other options to help with all my pain. My fianc and I were shocked on his rudeness he was more concerned about what I said then how I feel. He didn't understand how I felt. I spent 176 dollars to have Dr. Lopez give me 5 minutes of his time to insult me and make my fianc cry. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone because hes a waste of your time and money. If he treated my fianc an I this way I can't imagine how he treats his employees. Even the nurse didn't know what to say...
