Dr. Kanishka Monis, MD

I began this journey looking for an answer to pain that would be long lasting and not require years of pills that only mask the problem. I wish to find a solution. Dr Monis and his entire team are very dedicated to best patient outcomes. They have compassion and dedication in helping their clients. They are not to proud to show the BEST of bedside manner even if that means further instruction, holding your hand through the process, or walking you step by step through the “LIVE” process. I find each and every person involved in my care to be beyond word of measure. When your scared and hurting trust me you couldn’t have a better bunch of professional team members pulling for you and your success. A special thanks to Dr Monis and Nurse Sylvia for your selfless acts of kindness today. I can never thank you enough. Although today was my first experience without sedation...cuz I just had to have my Mocha lol... my 2 previous visits were also outstanding because Nurse John and Nurse… Anesthesiologist Mark made me feel right at home with just the right amount of humor and knowledge to ease my concerns. I highly recommend so blessed I was pointed in the right direction from the start.

Always look forward to seeing him. Great doctor, makes me comfortable, good sense of humor. He care about my overall health and even talks to me about my non-pain related medical conditions. Highly recommend!

I have been seeing Dr Monis for pain management for quite some time now. Wait times have never been an issue for me, they have always been prompt in seeing me. I have not one bad thing to say about him. He has always listened to my issues and has always been willing to work with me to find a treatment that would provide the most relief for my pain. And I'm not just talking about meds, but also different procedures as well ie Injections, Radio Frequency Ablation, Facet Joint Injections... etc. Aside from Dr. Monis, Mary Jane has been the most helpful person on his staff. She has always helped me when I needed anything. As for the rest of his staff, they are all incompetent at best, not to mention rude. It has been my experience that the less the person knows, the more rude and less helpful they tend to be. If you ever need them to complete a pre-authorization or referral, you can expect it to take over a month!!

The receptionists are the laziest bunch of gals I've ever seen. I dropped off my referral and new patient papers early. While I was there I peed so next time I came all the way to these offices I would be able to get a script and get some long overdue pain relief once again. Well I signed records releases but the front desk gal says to me. What am I supposed to do with that. There isn't even a phone number to send it to . I'll tell you right now that it probably won't ever get to his office since you didn't put his gax number on it. Seriously, this is your job. Fax releases , get records , make appointments ,,etc. Every other doc office I'd been in . there were three gals working away on 6 separate phones trying to keep up. Not here. It was almost like the front room patients waiting were scared or something.. Not me. I said "it's your job so I hope your kiddingkidding" and left . I called a few weeks later and was told my records were there and to come on back to the office for… appt number two. Doc was upset and confused with me at exam time since they had not received any records of mine yet "Why was I there before my records. No scripts without records he yelled at me. Knowing it all came down to the front office gals , and that they knowingly lied to me earlier and more recently as well . They had medrive all the way there knowing no recods were recieved yet for me .but they were in no trouble, no reaction from boss doctor man. Lazy gals.

Do all prep yourself . the front desk gals will get nothing done !!!!

Dr. Monis spends time and talks to you about pain sites. He geniuly cares about your treatment and remembers personal things about you life and always asks on them.

Dr Monis is one of the nicest doctors I have met. He spent a lot of time with me and answered all of my questions. I ask a lot of questions!! He was very patient and explained everything very well. The staff in the office was extremely nice. They were very friendly and seemed like they really enjoyed their jobs and talking with the patients. I was very happy with my appointment and look forward to working with Dr Monis and staff on my issues.
