Dr. Gail Haskell Cansler, MD

Gail performed bladder sugery on me when she should have sent me to a urologist. I was nieve. Sent me home with a catheter...have had major leakage since.... didn't hear from her or her staff. Had a stint after surgery etc...the front desk staff are rude.. wouldn't trust her to deliver any child much less a pap.

Dr. Cansler is very nice, but I was a little underwhelmed with the appointment. First of all I did feel like I was in more of a nutritionist office than an OB/Gyne. All Dr. Cansler did was a straight up pap, breast exam and spoke about weight loss and diet. All other OB/Gyne offices I have been to throughout my life has done a urinalysis and labs along with a pap and breast exam. Not sure I will go back. Will have to really think about that.

Dr. Cansler provides excellent care. I have been a patient for 25 years.

Dr Cansler has been my Ob/Gyne for years and I have referred several people to her including my daughters because she is simply the best. Patient, accurate, REAL and non judgemental..

Love the staff, hate the doctor. Doctor (as OB) does not perform basic care during visits (e.g. measuring fundal height), does not share the results of labs, does not provide patient education regarding pregnancy (e.g., nutrition, medication). On the other hand, she's pleasant, which is a plus.

EXCELLENT DOCTOR...VERY PROFESSIONAL, THOROUGH AND POSSESSES UNMATCHED BEDSIDE MANNER! I trust her with my life.

This office accepted me as a neww patient and got me in really quickly. My experience with Dr. Cansler was very informative and she listened to my concerns. She followed up herself within a few days and overall was just very pleasant to deal with.

Dr. Cansler was very thorough and straight to the point. She gives you options and helps you fix the problem. She gives you plenty information and listens to your concerns. This is the first gyne that I have gone to that has actually helped me find a solution to some of my problems. She is a great Doctor.

She seems rude to young teen patients as my self, this whole experience of pregnacy has been a roller coaster with her. Each visit i dread going to. You wait so long and its over within 5 secs. She doesn't answer your questions, im 33 weeks pregnant now and she hasn't taught me a thing.If it weren't for Google i wouldn't know what the heck is going on with myself because she sure in heck wont tell me. Oh and my biggest problem is I DO NOT want to have my baby at st.James Chicago heights i have personal issues with that place and i told her why i just couldn't give birth at such a place and she rudely referred me to Ingalls and i was furious, i plan on continuing my search for another ob/gyn and oh yes HER ULTRA SOUND MACHINE DOESN'T WORK NOR DOES THE PICURE PRINTER!!!

I am glad to have found this wonderful gynecologist; she accepted me at the beginning of a possible miscarriage, even though she was no longer accepting new patients. My babies, hubby & I thank you, Dr. Cansler!
