Specialties

Dr. Gary T Gabor has the following 2 specialties

  • Rheumatology

A rheumatologist is a physician who has received extensive training in diagnosing and treating rheumatic conditions. Rheumatic conditions involve the joints, soft tissues, autoimmune system, vascular system, and connective tissues.
Some of the conditions that rheumatologists treat are rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, sarcoidosis, vasculitis, and lupus. These are all conditions that involve a lot of pain and make mobility difficult. Rheumatologists use medications, such as analgesics, NSAIDs, steroids, DMARDs, infliximab, and adalimumab, as well as occupational therapy, in order to decrease pain and improve a patient's quality of life.

  • Internal Medicine

An internist is a physician who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic.
These doctors are often who adults see as their primary physicians because they treat a broad range of illnesses that do not require surgical or specialist interventions. They also work to help a patient maintain optimal health in order to prevent the onset of disease.
In addition to treating the common cold and flu, internists also treat chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.

Very knowledgeable in his field. I imagine he is one of the top lupus doctors in the southeast. Great bedside manner and listens to what the patient has to say.

cared more about smoking than seeing patients

this doctor could not get out of his office fast enough to go outside and smoke .. I noticed while I was seeing him that he seemed very hurried and rushed and only saw me for a total of 3 minutes, didn't seem to have time to answer my questions ...I felt that I did not matter as a patient and will never go back again... I noticed when I was leaving out the door that he went out the back door and was in the parking lot before I could get there and was smoking !!! wow this man was fast.... kinda knew why he was in hurry to get rid of me ....... enjoy that smoke ....wont see me again.

Will never go back

The staff was very professional and courteous but Dr Gabor was very rude. My appt. was to go over results and getting them was like pulling teeth ,a waste of my time. He did not seemed concerned or he is not very passionate about his work ,maybe time to call a quits. I will never refer anyone to se him.
