Dr. Gene Martin Barrie

Wish he was still my doctor. He delivered my fist born in 1991 and my last daughter in 1997. Haven't had a good doctor since then.

Getting appointments [due to popularity] are long range. In order to keep my valuable appointment, I drove the long 75 miles to the appointment with a terrible fever and headcold, as I did not want to miss my annual and have to reschedule. Having recently changed healthcare providers i called ahead to make sure my insurance would cover [approved]. When I arrived the desk clerk informed me that the insurance group number [which i had verified with another office person, before making the drive] was not approved. She informed me I would have to pay cash if i wanted to keep the appointment. After being a long time patient of 20yrs, she would not invoice me and refused to let me speak with a more familiar employee in the back office. As i was feverish and sick, I failed to think clearly and insist upon the appointment, I then drove home the next 75miles angry, but mostly disappointed, and definately not feeling well. [I have not forgiven her to this day!]

Avoid seeing this doctor and choose somebody else for your problems. He was recommended by my friend, but turned out to be horrible doctor. He doesn't get your health information fully and may not prescribe just required medicines. Search for a better doctor.

Dr. Gene is the best of the best. He is so knowledgable and very respected amongst other OBs and nurses.
