Dr. Genevieve Krebs, MD

I have been taking my children to this practice for 18 years. Dr Krebs and Dr Weissman are fantastic pediatricians. Dr Krebs saved my oldest son's life when he was an infant by quickly diagnosing him with a respiratory virus and admitting him directly to the hospital for treatment. Since that time, healthcare has changed dramatically, but the quality of care that Dr Krebs and Dr Weissman provide has not been compromised. I have always found them to be kind, courteous, and very professional. The office is always busy, but they take their time with my visits, and always ensure that all my questions have been answered. I can't imagine that dealing with kids and parents all day is easy, so I am pleased that these doctors seem to really love their profession. The nursing staff (particularly Jamie) is phenomenal and I can always get a same day appointment if one of my kids is sick. Also, for those reviewers complaining about costs, that is not the doctors' fault, you should… complain to your health insurance companies.

I have NEVER known a Dr. that would deny you help for going for a 2nd opinion. EVER !.....Until now, Our 7month old baby girl was suffering from a middle ear infection. After 10 days on antibiotics and a follow up visit to Krebs, she said all looked better. I couldn't believe that knowing my baby was still down, not happy, crying and grabbing at her ear all the time. Our daughter ran a 103 fever night of seeing Krebs (which she had during the middle ear infection days prior) Krebs said it may have been from the shots she received that day. Maybe, but days passed and the baby was still burning up. I couldn't take it anymore and suggested to my girlfriend to take her to another doctor for a 2nd opinion. When she went to Krebs office to get our records, we were nastily grilled "are you transferring your baby to another doctor" "No" was replied. Then the asst badgered again..."no" was replied" Then Krebs reared her own head and displeasure grilling the same questions, are you ? are you… transferring your baby to another doctor" "No" was replied. Not only did they not help us in giving us our 7 month old baby's records, Krebs sent us a letter "discharging" us and our baby from her "practice". And that after 30 days from this letter, she wouldn't see our baby again. What the heck kind of doctor would refuse to help a little baby because you wanted a 2nd opinion ?? Shame on you Krebs for calling yourself a doctor, for the doctor's that I know and knew of, make every effort possible for the health and well being of their patients and whenever I have suggested to my doctors that I go for a second opinion they would welcome it...unlike you, that have feelings hurt because there may be a possibility that someone else out there may know more than you....but maybe they didn't teach you that at Syracuse, but then again, maybe Syracuse didn't know how you would turn out to be. You shouldn't be shocked to read this Krebs, as I am not the first to take the time to write about your demeanor. Thank you for discharging us as I am sure, now, you were not the right doctor, no, person for our child. Shame on you !

I have used this practice many years unfortunately we are leaving because can not afford to be charged for things that this office charges! Be aware any vaccine done outside of a routine visit will be charged for a routine as well as vaccine charge and administration charge. Most insurance plans only cover one routine visit a year. So you will be liable for the rest! Also many notes posted all over office .. Don't touch this you must pay for that very unprofessional! I was told they are not a clinic to go get vaccines at a clinic! Really ? They also break up charges for yearly physicals ! So eye ear exams billed as full exam

I would rate a 2.5 be careful they charge for everything including your child's medical records so if you plan to move be ready to pay.

my sons doctor for 13 hrs ,I highly recommend her.great with practical advice on child rearing as well as medical.

Dr. Krebs kicked my son out of her practice because we did not want to follow their vaccination schedule in his first year. We believe in vaccinations, but wanted to wait until he was 6 mo's old to start, and do them one per visit, not have them done all at once. There was no discussing this or tolerance to a modified vaccination schedule. It was her way or no way (meaning we would have to take our son out of the practice). When I mentioned the word autism, they looked at me like I had 10 heads, and refused to have a conversation with us about it. Now 10 months later, they are kicking my older child out of the practice for no reason other than we are not allowed to take our younger child there. I am horrified by their actions, and how they will not be flexible at all with the vaccination schedule, or even listen to the idea that there may be a connection with vaccinations and autism.
