Dr. George R Companioni, MD

HE ONLY GETS ONE STAR BECAUSE ITS REQUIRED, OTHERWISE THIS GUY WOULDN'T GET A THING. As a nurse, I wonder where this guy's ethics have gone. I wonder how he can lay his head down at night, because he sure doesn't have the patient in mind, he definitely works for the workman's comp insurance companies who send him the very patients who keep him open. As a nurse of 20+ years, I have worked in various settings. I have worked in healthcare for a total of of 25+ years and I say this to verify that I have some EXPERIENCE to share. When we walked in, I immediately knew he would have the typical attitude of a workman's comp doctor because the horrible appearance of his location gives off the attitude that he doesn't want to put any money anywhere but his pocket. From the parking lot, to his low paid, low educated staff, to the waiting room and the paper signs all over his office, he demonstrates his lack of care. He serves low income families or Medicaid patients, because… typically "doctors"(and I use this term lightly for this character) of this caliber don't have the skill, people skills or care to deal with more educated people who would give him an actual challenge. This is because GOD COMPLEX doctors, do not like to be questioned. He carries the demeanor of pride on his chest and gives off the attitude that "I am God and don't question me"; which is what guys like him who are lacking in self esteem have. He speaks from this place of false authority and speaks down to the patient and family. When I asked a question on my husband's behalf, he spun around, because he tried to pretend that I didn't exist when he walked into the room and was clearly, visibly irritated that I was questioning him. He doesn't stand in the room longer than a minute or two, never sits down and he doesn't collect a history, doesn't ask the patient if they can do their typical work related activities and speaks in a condescending attitude. I told him that my husband worked with a hammer drill everyday on his job and he couldn't pick it up. Since his injury, my husband has lost grip strength while in physical therapy and I told him that. A customer shook his hand and about put him to the ground and that was two months ago. He can barely hold a cup. And this guy released him back to work....oh but he didn't tell us that yesterday, heard that from the workman's comp nurse today. My husband will not be able to do his job....this man needs to realize that he is affecting people's livelihoods. He needs a wake up call that most people are not trying to get out of work, but that attitude is almost always given to every workman's comp patient I have witnessed physicians deal with in my 25+ years of experience. Something has to change in healthcare. These attitudes towards the lives you SERVE has to change. YES YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO SERVE THE PATIENT....NOT MAMMON! THIS IS WHAT SOCIALIZED HEALTHCARE LOOKS LIKE. I hope this review is a wake up call for this guy. I hope YOUR livelihood is affected one day for every patient that you have recklessly threw to the wayside, to work on the side of WORKMAN'S COMP. I hope that you are shook awake and start serving the very people who you took an oath to serve. COCKY and PRIDEFUL always cause the fall.

I went to this Dr on a work related injury on my first visit he didn’t even spent 5 minutes with me and sent me to therapy. On my second visit all he said was all you have is some bulging disc you are fine and I don’t need to talk to you here is your paperwork. Very disrespectful talks to you like he’s your father and doesn’t want to here what you need to say. This guy is an idiot!

La peor experiencia de mi vida es una pena que su personal tenga más ética que este doctor me lastime en mi trabajo y llevo 5 meses sin trabajar esperando para una cirugía cervical y cuando voy a la cita para la fecha de la cirugía me envía a trabajar sin restricciones cuando tengo la cervical herniada y el MRI lo certifica.

I went there as I was assigned this doctor by my workers comp. On my first visit there, I brought in all the completed paperwork and then had to complete more while I was there. After about 15 minutes of waiting, I was told that I couldn't see the doctor because they didn't have all the necessary paperwork from workers comp. This appointment was made over a month ago! There should have all the paperwork ready for me to see the doctor. They even called to confirm my appointment. When I returned two weeks later, I had to wait over an hour from my appointment time before the doctor stepped into the consultation room! The doctor himself was approachable but a little too nonchalant for my liking.

This is the worse doctor I have ever gone to I hurt myself at work and he lied and said in his report that I was cutting grass when I hurt myself and other thing .patients be careful and ask for your medical records from this doctor to make sure he is not lieng on his report

Dr. Companioni was knowledgeable and also sympathetic to my pain. He and his staff quickly arranged for me to have an MRI and discovered that I had a torn meniscus. Dr. C then scheduled surgery within a week and fixed my knee. His beside manner made me feel comfortable and his follow up after surgery was above and beyond the call of duty. A terrific surgeon!

This guy has the worst bedside manner I have ever encountered. He yells at you and acts like a bully. This is work related but if I had a choice I would never see him again. He doesn't spend much time listening to you not even 5 minutes. He acts like he can't wait to get away from you. I usually don't write comments like this but I feel so disrespected by him each time I have to go see him. I would never recommend him to anyone and only hope I only have to see him one more time.

He replaced both my hips and he is wonderful!

I would NOT recommend this doctor to ANYONE! I am in the medical field and work with many doctors and this one is HORRIBLE. The worst bedside manner, no patience, in a hurry. We went for a consult and he spent maybe 10 minutes in there. I met with some other people in the parking lot and they were also there for a consult and he spent also about 10-15 minutes with them. They were also disappointed and said he had bad reviews. I wish I had seen the reviews before seeing this doctor. He was very disrespectful to my elderly mother. Since he is an older man, maybe he should think about retiring because obviously he is tired of doing his job! The office staff there ironically is absolutely WONDERFUL! He's lucky to have the staff he does....

The most rude unprofessional arrogant person I have ever experienced. does not listen. well known to a lot of people that never met him of being so arrogant and rude and most of all refuses to listen especially if you are sent to him by workers comp. his lack of knowledge was so obvious. I dread that visit and will never ever go back again.
