Dr. George Parker Garmany Jr, MD

Dr. Garmany is board certified in neurology and has practiced in Boulder for more than 30 years. He received his Bachelor of Arts in 1969 and Medical Degree in 1973 from the University of Virginia. He completed his internship at Emory University in 1974 and his residency at the University of Colorado in 1977. Dr. Garmany has been with Associated Neurologists since 1977. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine and President of the Medical Staff at Boulder Community Hospital. Dr. Garmany has worked on numerous projects to improve neurological care in Boulder, including helping to form the acute stroke response team. He has a special interest in multiple sclerosis and a large number of his patients are seen for this disorder. He served on the Board of Trustees for the Colorado Chapter of the National MS Society from 1981-2011 and has been a consultant to Can Do MS for many years. He has taught neurology residents and medical students for much of that time and holds the …rank of Clinical Professor of Neurology at the University of Colorado.
