Dr. George Samuel Howard, MD

My family’s experience with Dr. Howard was extremely painful and deeply disappointing. In my personal experience, we were not given clear or complete information about my mom’s cancer or how serious her condition truly was. We left appointments believing she would be “back on her feet,” only to later find out that her cancer was actually stage 4. My mom had significant trouble eating and swallowing, and we felt that these concerns were not addressed with the urgency or compassion she deserved. Instead of receiving guidance, support, or a clear plan, she was sent home, and we felt completely unprepared during the most critical time of her life. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion or find an oncologist who communicates openly, listens carefully, and provides thorough, compassionate care.

Dr. Howard is relatively new to me. I have only had a couple of visits with him but I can honestly say he is so nice! I have enjoyed getting to know him and I feel like I am in very good hands! He answers all of my questions and makes sure I understand everything. His nurse is wonderful about calling back whenever I have had to call and leave a voicemail. Actually, the entire staff so far has been wonderful to work with, as they are all very kind and helpful. When you are dealt the cancer card, this is the kind of doctor you want in your corner!

They list my records after being faxed over, showed up early, called late. Was told I'd receive a call in 2 days and would not call back 5 days later. Complete lack of patient compassion. Looking for a new hematologist while I start treatment here. Bummer.

Dr. Howard and his team gave me hope. After 6 months and remission, I am so thankful to him and his staff for all of their great care.

I had a great experience with Dr. Howard, he is caring, experienced and was amazing in managing my complicated case. He coordinated with my other doctors and was always available to answer my questions (even weekends or after-hours with no delay). He is very thoughtful, intelligent nd conscientious. I highly recommend him.
