Dr. George Hutton, MD

I was a patient at the MS clinic for 6 years, but not on DMD's. My last visit with Dr. Hutton was for excruciating pain in my neck and shoulder, he suggested some medication but no prescription. In his after visit notes he included my old MRI notes which clearly state cervical stenosis, also he wrote that I'm welcome back but they only treat patients on DMD's (He did not say it during the visit or any previous visits). I spent a lot of money, time and frustration, that I did not need to if they just informed me from the beginning. On their website There is nothing stating that they only provide services for Patients on DMD's, which is misleading.

Dr. Hutton was my doctor from 2008-2010 until the time I lost my job and had to revert back to using the VA Hospital system. I cried that day. Unlike my neurologist who diagnosed me with MS, Dr. Hutton listened to me and gave me options. The nurses he employs are top-notch too! If I had a chance, I'd go back to him in a heartbeat! I highly recommend this doctor.

very personable. easy to talk to. explains issues very thorough. great Doctor lucky to have him in Houston.

I don't like the idea of residents being involved in my care in anyway. I did not agree to this. A different resident sees me each time and takes the time that would have been spent with the attending physician I made the appointment with. Dr. Hutton is friendly but quite dismissive. He does not really want to know about your perception of your disease, its course or the impact it is having on your life. He appears to be more interested in the perks that come along with the distinguished chair position he has in the Mesinger MS Institute at Baylor College of Medicine. I can't ever speak to a member of this big " Institute" anytime I call with questions about FMLA or such and he is not available through anything other than a messaging system through Baylor MyChart. This takes anywhere from 36 to 72 hours to populate and I am not really even sure that it is Dr. Hutton that is populating the answers. I would recommend anyone that has been referred to The Mesinger MS Institute at Baylor… College of Medicine to look elsewhere before subjecting yourself the embarrassment and general lack of focus that seems to occupy a resident run program.

Dr. Hutton is the best!! He is friendly, open to questions and listens to the patient and offers suggestions for treatment.

He is very wise in his profession and I trust him with my treatment.

Dr. Hutton and his staff or the best. They have excellent customer service skills. You can talk to him and he will talk to you so that you understand what is going on. If you have a problem the staff work you in. He is the best doctor and great staff.
