Dr. George John Scontsas, MD

The best there is he has helped me understand pain and the triggers of my pain. I would recommend this doctor. Appointments are on time and you don’t feel rushed he is a very caring Doctor.

By far the worst doctor I have ever seen, he is a narcissistic man with a superiority complex who seems to take pleasure in belittling his patients and lording over them. He seems to practice medicine from the google search bar and he seems to be under the influence of opiates and that could explain his sour disposition I have been witness to over the last couple of years.

Dr. Scontsas, my neurologist (who is also an addiction specialist), has been instumental in my life, with my chronic pain issue & with my recovery. My 1st appt. with him, he spent 2 & 1/2 hours getting my background, patterns of behavior, & trauma from my past, we left no stone unturned. What a great feeling it was to get that negative baggage off my shoulders, including my need for pain management. That was 6 & 1/2 years ago & I know for sure I wouldn't have come this far without his help. He is a very kind man. In my past I was unable to trust anyone with the secrets of my life, but Dr. Scontsas helped me to open up & feel completely safe. I understand & emphathize with anyone who has started off on pain medicine, and when those stopped working for us, or some of us became addicted to them we needed to find something stronger, etc... Dr. Scontsas knew just what medication I needed & since then I have been in less pain, have not had an urge for anything since Nov. '06. Thank you… Dr. Scontsas, for the happy, productive life I'm leading now!
