Dr. George Willeford, MD

Rudest and most unprofessional doctor I've ever met in my life. He yelled at me, would not let me speak at all, and insulted me several times during the visit

I have been a very long time patient of Dr. Willeford's. I love Dr. Willeford & his staff. He is well respected, he listens, and he's thorough. I can count on Dr. Willeford professionally and medically to take the absolute best care of me. I highly recommend Dr. Willeford

Dr. Willeford was fantastic. My OB actually referred me to another doctor in his office but that Dr. didnt have availability. I can say it all worked out perfect for me. I was incredibly nervous to be seeing a GI doctor but Dr. Willeford was amazing. I deal with anxiety daily (he had no idea) and he had such a calming affect on me, he listened, he was compassionate and he took extra precautionary measures while considering my husband and I's plans to start a family and our next steps. My procedures were this AM and my experience could not have gone smoother. Don't judge all the negative reviews, remember that most satisfied customers/patients don't think to go back and give feedback. This doctor is good , he listens and he's honest with you and that's what's important.

This review is a year coming, but I'm still steamed enough to write it. I began seeing Dr. Willeford after I had been admitted to a hospital with a suspected partial intestinal obstruction brought on by muscle spasms. I had been through three endoscopic procedures and several imaging studies for the same problem, and had recently had my gallbladder removed as well. Because I see a doctor for anxiety issues, Dr. Willeford felt that my problem was caused by anxiety. Okay...so...I tried the meds he recommended, and I just wasn't getting better. On our first visit, he told me that he wouldn't order more imaging tests because I had "more radiation exposure in my 40s than most people will get in their lifetimes"...and I "might not get cancer right away, but down the road...". Well, thanks for that comforting comment. So why, then on my last appointment, did he feel like he had to "prove it to me" that nothing was wrong by ORDERING A FULL SERIES OF BARIUM IMAGING so I would have proof that it… was "all in my head"? I tell you, I ran--not walked--out of there, never to return. Within the same year, I discovered I had an autoimmune disorder, premature menopause, pituitary and thyroid disfunction, celiac disease, and some severe nutritional deficiencies. But no, it was all in my head because I take Zoloft. He is exactly as others say...condescending and arrogant...but I can call that when I see it. Thanks a lot, Dr. W.

He is professional, concerned and very personal. I appreciated the time and explanations of the procedure and his factual approach to my condition.

Staff is rude.
