Chronic conditions in elderly patients may be common but should not be ignored or dismissed all the same. Dr. Close explained that my grandmother’s chronic diarrhea and resulting dehydration was “to be expected” for a woman of her age. She was not open to exploring other possibilities of causes or treatments. We left the appointment feeling unheard by what should have been a trusted medical professional and completely disheartened. We will be seeking appointments at alternate clinics and with different providers moving forward.

Scolding, uncaring, I found myself another gastroenterologist.

Totally did the right thing for me regarding a liver issue- ordered the right bloodwork, scans and helped to get me into a liver specialist asap.

Dr. Close has great bedside manner. She gives her patients undivided attention and answers all questions asked. She also is prompt, will even take you early if you arrive early. She doesn't make you feel rushed but makes you feel that you matter and your needs matter to her. I would recommend Dr. Close to anyone who is seeking a skilled, patient, and thorough Gastroenterologist. She is truly wonderful!

I have been surprised to read some of the reviews written about Dr. Close. I have found her to be very personable, informative, knowledgeable and extremely competent. I think she is just wonderful!
