Summary
Dr. Gerald Patton joined Surgical Specialists, P. C. in 1996 after retiring from the United States Army where he held the rank of Major when stationed at the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. Dr. Patton received his medical degree from the University of Miami before completing his general surgery residency at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Patton then completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Kansas before joining the U. S. Army Medical Corp in Colorado. Throughout his career, Dr. Patton has been the recipient of many awards and has been admitted to several national honor societies. He has lectured extensively on vascular disorders and recently published an article entitled Arterial Thoracic Outlet Syndrome in the journal of Hand Clinics in 2004. Along with Dr. Mattson and Dr. Ryan, Dr. Patton serves the vascular needs of our patients at three hospital locations, the Bryn Mawr Hospital, the Paoli Memorial Hospital and The Chester …County Hospital. A skilled vascular and endovascular surgeon, Dr. Patton has a special interest and expertise in arteriography and angioplasty.
