Dr. Gigi Nagwa Girgis, MD

Dr Girgis was condescending and dismissive. I have rarely encountered such arrogance in a medical professional. Her assessment of my symptoms was both incomplete and inaccurate. The explanation she gave made little clinical sense, and she clearly didn’t expect that I would have the judgment to recognize how off base she was. There are many skilled neurologists in the Boston area. I would advise seeking care elsewhere.

have some complicated health issues and when I saw Dr. Girgis they were yet to be diagnosed. I saw alot of doctors during that time, many understandably baffled by the symptoms I was experiencing. She was the only doctor who was cruel. She dismissed my symptoms (constant pain, flexibility, trouble standing, dizziness, Etc) and said it was anxiety. I sat on front of her and said "I've had anxiety my whole life it doesn't make seeing and standing like this". She spoke down to me and addressed my companion "she can't hear me but at least you're listening to me". Seeing this doctor had a profoundly negative affect on my well being when I was at my weakest. It scares me that she is still practicing. If you're medical situation isn't clear cut please protect yourself and do not go to thos doctor. Long covid people beware, this doctor will make you feel like a hypochondriac. Listen to your patients.

Dr. Girgis is a remarkable doctor. She is knowledgeable, intelligent and easy to talk with. After many years of seeing neurologists, and not being diagnosed, Dr Girgis was the only one who did a sleep deprived study and was able to diagnose my frontal lobe siezures.

I went to see Dr. Girgis for consultation concerning my memory loss because my GP, said I needed to see her to be analyzed because of memory loss. I'm not crazy and do not need a Psychiatrist so why my GP did not order test for my head issue, so why see the psychiatrist before a head-test? I do not have a mental problem, it's just memory loss and possible due to a head trauma/injury that maybe caused from an accident. As I walked into Dr. Girgis's office, she stood up from her desk and said "what brings you here" today? then she sat down as I explained my memory loss issue and that is the reason for my visit to her office. Well, if she followed up with my GP, who I saw days prior to my visit, she should of read the notes in my file and could analyze the issue and then give me her view and/or opinion of what I need to do about my memory loss. Then, as I was trying to continue to explain why my visit with Dr, Girgis, she was viewing her iPhone and scrolling down the message,… which was rude. And did not make eye contact with me nor say, excuse me! And shortly after the iPhone scrolling, the doctor had picked up a speaker micro-phone thing and started to whisper into the phone. I'm not familiar with this type of service from a doctor and not certain if she was relaying message to her speaker phone about me, incase she could not remember the facts from the very quick conversation we were having at the visit. She was not very professional and I left without making a following up appointment which she wanted me to do in another few weeks.

I was dx with advanced spinal syrinx & CRPS a decade after this doctor decided I was a depressed attention seeker. She spent our five minutes appointments to which she showed up over 1.5 hours late (at minimum) verbally bashing me & trying to convince me that my symptoms were psychological. Eventually I sought help elsewhere. If this doctor isn’t helping & trying to convince you it’s your fault, please get a second opinion.

Dr Girgis was very helpful and knowledgeable. She and her staff helped me hey the testing and follow up care I needed.

Worst doctor I've ever been to. Got all my information wrong and wrote false background story. When I we t back and asked her to fix it...she refused! Instead she wrote insulting comments and said I must have been confused about what happened to me...lied about my hospital visit saying I passed out when I didnt...I went to her about my car accident and told her what happen not only did she not listen but she didn't ask for clarification so made up a story to her liking...she is a terrible doctor who should not be allowed to practice...

This doctor has always gone out of her way to take the time and care to heal all my problems, and sadly there have been many. This doctor has always found a solution in a timely and permant manner. I and thankful that there is a doctor like her still practing today.

Dr. Girgis didn't know me, but she read my abnormal EEG and she called and saw me Friday after hours, just to make sure that I am on meds and know what is going on.What a dedication !

diagnosed my rapidly-worsening Multiple Sclerosis as 'anxiety'.- a diagnosis overturned by leaders in the field. Her incorrect, flippant assessment delayed my steroid treatment by 2 months until I could get an appt with a neurologist who knew what textbook Multiple Sclerosis looked like on MRIs and in person.
