Dr. Glenn Landon, MD, FAAOS

Dr. Landon replaced both of my husbands knees at the same time, in 1996, which is 22 years ago. The surgery has held and his knees are doing fine. Dr. Landon deserve 10 stars!

Unfortunitly I now have more pain after the surgery than I had before I saw Dr. Landon. I have several concerns with his practice.

In 1989 my lower leg was crushed in a job accident. My wife was a nurse and insisted nobody but Dr Landon operated on my leg and I was left in Clear Lake emergency room for 6 hrs until the dr could procure the required hardware to be delivered to a hospital frequented by Nasa astronauts. Dr Landon did a procedure stitching my leg with staples and rubber bands to reduce complications from swelling and placed and external fixater that at that time had children calling me robo cop. My ankle joint was the equivalency and consistency of oatmeal from an approximate 50 foot fall. 4 operations and two years later Dr Landon managed to save my leg and I have been walking on it from age30 to age 55 next month. That man went thru extraordinary measures for me even arguing with police officers for 6 months to bring me from jail on a Dwi charge to his office for visits and procedures that saved my leg. I over did it today and my leg hurts a bit tonight. I may look up Dr Glen for a checkup… soon. It's only been 25 years since I needed to see the great man.

Dr. Landon was very gentle with good bedside manner

I was thumbing through this site looking for a good neck Doctor for my wife and decided to look up my Doctor. After reading the 1 review on him, I felt I have to give my story. Dr. Landon replaced both of my hips approximately 8 years apart. I am still 6' 3' (I didn't shrink). As a matter of fact, before the first replacement, because of the joint damage, I was about an inch shorter than normal height. He even told me I would get my height back after the surgery and sure enough...On every office visit he has always been courteous, professional, and answered every question, no matter how simple it may have been to him. I am now 11 years into my first hip and 3 into my other without a single issue. I am not a sedentary individual. I am 56 and am still able to workout at a high level with only the few restrictions that come along with every hip replacement. I'm not going to sit here and tell you the first 3 weeks are a piece if cake, but I will tell you it was nothing compared to the pain… I had before surgery. Dr. Landon comes highly recommended by me and was personally recommended to a friend who used Dr Landon. He is also thrilled with his results.

dr. Landon did my hip replacement that left me 2 inches shorter on that leg. His response to my repeated concerns was "it'll resolve itself" and then "we'll take care of it when we do the other hip". In other words we'll cut your other leg off 2 inches to fix my mistake. I have never dealt with a more arrogant, condescending, uninterested, dismissive dr. In my life. Even though I had reservations from the start about dr. Landon I allowed myself to be persuaded (by other kelsey drs.) to go ahead with surgery. Biggest mistake EVER! I will never recover from this fiasco.
