"I love the disease process in GI. Many GI illnesses are amenable to therapy. It is a technologically heavy specialty that is rapidly changing. The disease spectrum allows us to care for a wide range of ages and different patients from different backgrounds. We care for healthy screening patients and very ill liver patients. I enjoy the variety. I try hard to listen to patients and find out their concerns and needs. I try to educate patients so that they understand all of their treatment options. I hope to give my patients knowledge and peace of mind and provide care with a sense of humor." In his personal time, Dr. Harmston enjoys skiing, golf and family time.

I completely trust Dr. Harmston with my colonoscopies. Been going to him for approx. 20 years. Nice guy and professional. Answers any and all questions. Staff is great too. I’d definitely recommend him for colonoscopies.

I met Harmston in the procedure room at IMC. Not impressed! He has since tried to manipulate my only being able to see him?! I will not return to him and do not want him as a future provider. He is interfering with my healthcare

Dr Harmston is a terrific doctor. He is thorough, knowledgeable and doesn't over react to minor issues. Tough to get into quickly but once your in he is great.

The procedure went very smooth. Little wait time, took me back, prepped for the procedure. As i do not like needles, the nurse that gave me the IV was very good. I did not feel anything. They said almost within 5 minutes of when i would be ready to go home. All in all i am very satisfied with my care. Doctor must must have been good, i did not feel a thing.

Very organized from start to finish. Everyone explained exactly what they were doing and what was goinig to happen. It was a very good experience for a not so pleasant a procedure.

The sign in and wait time was quick. The admit nurse was informative and very competent. I had surgical notes from two Nov surgeries which were thoroughly read and discussed with me by the Doctor prior to my procedure and afterwards as it pertained to my results. Having had this procedure done over 20 yrs now I couldn't have been more pleased with the Doctor, staff and facility.
