Dr. Gregory Dean Bills, MD

I was not impressed with Dr. Bills. I went into my appointment with a sheet of questions, and he treated me quite poorly because of it. He interpreted my questions as an insult, acting as though I was questioning his expertise. I brought up that I was feeling quite anxious about the surgery we had scheduled, and he did not attempt to console me at all. Instead, I felt that he was offended by my anxiety. Our appointment lasted around 10 minutes until he left the room. Would not recommend Dr. Bills to anyone.

I liked Dr Bills when I was seeing him. He did my vaginal hysterectomy in 2000. Several years ago I started having a lot of pain - felt like menstrual cramps - BAD. Because of changes, I was not going to Dr Bills. After several yeas and a lot of money and pain, we realized the pain is due to damage cause from the way my hysterectomy was performed. Now because of that damage, EVERYTHING is descending, pulling on muscle and ligaments - causing a lot of pain and challenges. Now I need more surgery to fix it. Thanks Dr. Bills

I am currently 6 weeks post op from a total robotic hysterectomy Dr. Bills did in early November. I am feeling great! Best decision I've ever made, only thing I regret is waiting so long to do it. Dr. Bills was my doctor for my third and final pregnancy about 8 years ago. My older two kids were born out of state. I had preeclampsia with both of those pregnancies. When I met with Dr. Bills for the very first time I told him about the preeclampsia and he said, "I'm not going to let you get it again". He was the only Doctor I saw who actually treated me for it (put me on bp meds, no other Doctor would). Blood pressure did spike up, but I'm not sure I actually developed full blown preeclampsia as I did the first two times. At least he was able to control it and I didnt have to deliver dangerously early. He did not deliver my son. I had a scheduled csection with him but he sent me from the clinic to meriter and I had whatever Doctor was on call that day. Dr. Bills did come to visit me in… the hospital which I thought was nice. A few years later I asked him about possibly doing the ablation. He recommended a hysterectomy but I ended up doing the ablation. It didnt work (not his fault). He told me to consider the hysterectomy. At the time, it seemed extreme and I had just had my gall bladder out so I put it off. In the meantime our insurance changed to Dean and I couldn't see Dr. Bills. I got another opinion and they agreed I should have a hysterectomy. As soon as we had the opportunity to change our insurance back we did (even though Dean prices were way lower). We switched all our doctors around again just so I could have Dr. Bills back as my doctor. That's how much I like him. I think he's great. I trust him. I was hesitant of the robotic part of the surgery, and considered canceling but when I asked him about it, he assured me recovery was faster, easier and it gives him a clearer image. He really answered everything and I felt like I was in good hands (literally!) He knows his stuff. He was totally right on. The gall bladder surgery was a much harder recovery and I have a large scar from that (nothing from the hysterectomy). The recovery from the hysterectomy has been a breeze and i am a proud member of the "no bleeders club". I am super thankful to him, as he said I could have my period for the next 15-20 years (NO thanks!) He always asks of you have any questions (even called me the day before surgery, which happened to be a Sunday, to see if there were any last minute questions). He answers the questions thoroughly. He is always really nice and professional. I've had regular yearly visits with him, too and he's always been extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. In all the years I've been going to him I've never had to wait long for an appt and even with my surgery, it started at the exact time it was scheduled for. I was nervous going in but for me he has a calming quality about him. He's very soft spoken. He came in once or twice to see me while I was in the hospital for the hysterectomy as he did after my csection even though he did not deliver. I've lived in several different states, seen lots of different doctors for this and that and I'd say he's one of my favorites. He said "you will be really happy you did it". I really am and I'm glad I held out for him to do it.

Been a patient of Dr. Bills for several years for pregnancies and general gynecology appointments. He has an arrogance about him that puts me off at times, but honestly he knows his stuff. He's professional. As for bedside mannner, he's not warm, he's just polite enough, gives you limited information and moves on. Very laid back. I give him an A for his knowledge and skill but a C at best for personality. Sometimes seems preoccupied, I think I'm an easy case and he prefers more difficult cases. Everything with me is routine.

Iâ??ve been referred to Dr. Bills for two separate surgical procedures a couple years apart. First time, I had some endometriosis and a cyst removed. There were two surgeons involved, and Dr. Bills was the only one who came to see me prior to my surgery and answer all of my questions. He also did my post-op care. I donâ??t have Dr. Bills as my primary care provider (PCP), because my PCP is much closer and more convenient for me to see regularly. However, when needing a referral for my current situation, I asked if I could have Dr. Bills again, as I felt so well cared for by him last time. Iâ??m glad I did. Iâ??m currently recovering from a hysterectomy. My situation was complicated by lots of scar tissue from previous surgeries (gall bladder removal and cesarean). Dr. Billsâ?? team spent 4.5 hours on me instead of the normal 2 hours due to scar tissue. I cannot say how grateful I am that he took that time to complete my laparoscopic surgery. My recovery is going great. Dr. Bills came… to see me the evening of my surgery and the next day to release me always making sure my questions were answered. Just prior to going into surgery, Dr. Bills stated he would take good care of me; I held onto that; and I feel like he did. I appreciate his calm, confident bedside manner. It leaves me feeling as though Iâ??m in the best care possible. Itâ??s worth noting, Iâ??ve had a poor surgical experience when I had my gall bladder removed and would never go back to that surgeon. That experience only makes me appreciate Dr. Bills more.

I had a stillbirth and he was cold. He never called or his staff to tell me the status of the autopsy report -- I had to call myself months after they actually received it. Very disappointing.

doesn't understand endometriosis at all. said it was impossible for me to have it since i've had a child&breastfed which are "cures" (no, dr. bills, they are not), and that i probably had a pulled ab muscle. and even if he thought i had it he'd just rx Lupron and not do diagnostic laparoscopy & evaluate what stage & clean it up first (huge no-no to skip that step). Horrible bedside manner ( 'i guess i could dig around down there if you really want me to'). i was polite and thanked him for his time. then i went to someone better who performed dx laparoscopy, excised the endo, took pictures, and has been working on treatment and pain management with me. caring for me. dr. bills does not understand the disease, how to treat it, or how to treat patients.

I have seen Dr. Bills on a few occassions, and he has always been really professional. He has always taken my concerns seriously, and he seems very knowledgeable and honest.

I just want to say that I am not satisfied at all with Dr. Bills' service. He was my Ob/Gyn for my first child. He is cold, seemed to be busy and occupied and rushed whenever I met him, he also didn't care much. I had a difficult labor, I got a third degree tear. The next day when he came visit, he was cold, didn't care much how I felt and didn't quite answer my questions properly (again, he seemed rushed!). I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone.
