Dr. Gregory R. Galakatos

Bedside manner was warm. He is to the point. Staff was professional. Surgery went great and I can now dance again.

My first visit with Dr G today. He spent plenty of time with me and I did not feel rushed. He took the time to explain everything to me. His staff was courteous and pleasant. I had a very short wait. I am ready to get new knees! I finally found the right doctor to do the job.

He is a great doctor, not all warm and fussy, he doesn't like to give a lot of pain medicine and believes in getting back to every day life asap. His work is great and PT is amazed how fast his patients bounce back. Four people in my family have gone to him and I would recommend him to anyone.

He seems unconcerned. He doesn't a personable bedside manner. He'll ask, "How's your leg?" but he's thinking about, "Oh, boy I'm going golfing tonight." He seems very unconcerned, as if he's only playing a game with our lives. Maybe he just doesn't know any better, He has no compassion. I was in extreme pain after the surgery, I told him I needed strong medicine and he gave me stuff a child could take. 15 days after surgery, I'm still in extreme pain. The knee has a bad infection and he didn't seem to care much about that either. Tomorrow, I'm going to the emergency room. Hopefully there I can get some treatment.

Left message for a phone call 2 weeks prior, did not receive a call back. Office staff polite - not withstanding nurse who took history. I have high blood pressure, however, that was not checked. Dr. showed no interest in my input regarding pain or symptoms. He was rude and abrupt. Treated me condescendingly, as if I was inferior and possibly, stupid. Took x-ray before seeing me with no explanation. Besides being sure a doctor has impeccable credentials, I need a doctor who demonstrates compassion and as if he cares that I am in pain. I felt this man was not remotely capable of these qualities. I shall not return..

I have just finished my second surgury with this Doctor. The first was a double Knee replacement. Dr. Galakatos is an Excellent Sugion. The pain was gone I suffered for many years. As soon as I woke up from the surgury. Was back to work in 5 weeks. Exceptional recovery. I claim due to the Excellent surgury. Second I just finished Rotator cuff surgury. The night after the surgury I finall slept. My recovery is beyond expected time. I returned to work the next day. I work as a supervisor, so this made it easier. I was without pain. I am recovering quickly. Again I claim it is because Dr. Galakatos is an excellent surgion.
