Summary
I was born in Taipei, Taiwan, where my father was the U.S. Marine Corps advisor to Chiang Kai-shek (who was once president of Taiwan). When I was 8 months old, we moved to Arlington, Virginia, where my dad worked for the Pentagon. He retired to Tennessee, and that is where my two brothers and I grew up. After high school, I went to college and medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans.
