Dr. Guido Francisco Nodal, MD

Dr. Nodal was born in Cuba, came to in Key West as a child in 1965 with his family and is a huge Ernest Hemingway fan. He has now come full circle and came back to Key West to continue his beloved practice of Psychiatry. He grew up in central Texas where he grew to love medicine from his father, a physician, where he would perform odd jobs in his fathers allergy clinic. Dr. Nodal attended the University Central del Este in Dominican Republic for pre-med and medical school and upon completion did his Internship and Residency in Psychiatry at The University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Nodal has held numerous leadership positions including Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. He has also received multiple awards and was named one of the top psychiatrists in the State of Florida by the Castle and Connelly Guide. Dr. Nodal was one of the few psychiatrists in the country with triple board certification; …including General Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Nodal is considered an expert in psychopharmacology and has been an adjunct professor in this field. His special interests are mood disorders, anxiety disorders and geriatric issues. Dr. Nodal was recently named as the Medical Director of Psychiatry at Lower Keys Medical Center in Key West, Florida.
