Dr. Gurleen S. Sikand, MD

My husband was referred by a Nuero Surgeon to Dr. Sikand’s office. After several weeks and no contact, my husband contacted the Drs office directly. The lady that answered the phone after my husband stated his name said, “Dr. Sikand can’t help you”.. my husband was shocked... he said, wait, I haven’t even been seen yet.. the lady responded, “yeah, he reviewed your file and can’t help you”. My husband said, “I thought he was a Neurologist”. She said, yeah, again he can’t help you.... we have full insurance, pay all of our medical bills on time... as his spouse I’m in aw that he’s been rejected from care. Very unprofessional!

Caring and patient. He listens and explains his diagnosis and plan to follow. Awesome doctor! I recommend him!

Don't waste your time. This office has insane appointment policies. I was referred to Dr. Sikand because my current clinic would only let me see an NP and still couldn't get me in for consistent appointments. The NP refuses to treat my condition, but Dr. Sikand refuses to see me at all because "I have a neurologist." But I don't. I have an NP who refuses to treat me because she doesn't write scripts for pregnant patients. I have daily, 5-6 hour headaches, vision disturbances, increasing pressure on my optic nerves and ears, and intense nausea that prevents me from eating very often (not great for fetal development), but I am stuck with an NP who won't treat me because Dr. Sikand refuses to take me on as a patient. I need a lumbar puncture and a diamox prescription -- just like I needed last time I was pregnant -- but no one will do it.

I like how Dr. Sikand included everyone in discussing the patient. There was no separate conversations & all were allowed comments and questions. He acknowledged our Mama with respect & treated her equal to all present. We appreciated his direct yet kind manner.

The doctor was very rude. My family went to him with our grandfather and he was rude to my grandfathers POA. Telling my grandfather he could drive until his POA told him he couldn’t no more. He has done had his driving privileges revoked through a pshycologist from the northwest Shreveport Bossier area. Very unprofessional and shouldn’t be dealing with the public. You should be ashamed of treating people that are going through a hard enough time as it is with the disrespect you displayed today.

He refused to see me bc I couldnt produce recs from a neuro I saw in another state 12 or 13 yrs ago. They only keep records for 7 yrs! Glad he showed his true colors before I wasted my time and money.

Had an apt. Didnt get called to a room for over an hour and a half. A nurse asks questions then comes back after several minutes and calls me into docs office. He sat across from me belittling me for as though the problems i was having were my own fault. Very very rude man! I personally told him he was very arrogant! Would NOT recommend to even my worst enemy!

Wouldn't see me b/c I saw another Nero. DR and I am in pain management. I should be able to go to any Dr I want. I guess it is a good thing I didn't see him after the reviews. My rating is 10 at worst and didn't even see him.

Would not recommend. Wanted to refer me to another Dr. just for being 5 minutes late. Does not have a pleasant bedside manner.

Doc is nice enough just too much in a hurry; didn't follow-up on my issue. My issue seemed to annoy him. not what I would expect from a Med professional and I am a military member too!
