Dr. Gustavo Jose Armendariz, MD

I’m writing this as I contemplate yet another knee procedure & wonder how the good dr is doing after 34 years of service to mankind? It was the late 90’s & I was in my early 40’s . No review ‘s to check , just going w TOCA on a recommendation & only dealing w what I thought would be a simple meniscus repair. Following surgery I was experiencing patella pain! 2 more surgeries & I had no luck & I felt like the “dart board “& the good doc was missing the mark every time . I might mention his designation as a Suns doc is laughable for obvious reasons that a high powered sports team would use a rookie. Danny Manning was on the team & when I questioned how he was still productive after at least one cadaver ACL ,& I was limping around w a meniscus procedure , the good dr remarked if I was making that kind of $ I would be doing as well!! Fast forward & the meniscus of the 90’s resulted in a TKR after years of issues. Thank you for your Service Dr.?? Future knees are in better hands with… your ride into the sunset . Buyer beware , knees need expertise, do your homework! The Dog ate mine evidently! I guess I can only go as low as 1 star in this rating .

This doctor should not be in business. He treats people Horribly. He is arrogant and doesn’t Listen. He actually yelled at me like I was a child. Very unprofessional and sad that he holds a position that is supposed to help others. He’s mean and needs to learn how to treat others.

Seen him today for my daughters broken Tibia which broke on Jan 12. This was a follow up visit. We had questions and he was not having it. He told my daughter anyone else would be walking already. She tried to ask her a question in regards to walking and he s cut her off saying that's not the point. He told us in the begining she didn't need surgery and now 6 weeks later he said she needs surgery like yesterday. Wanted us to make a decision at that moment. I asked him a question and he said who are you trying to blame. As of right now we are looking for another Doctor. Very arrogant and unfriendly. Do not go to him

A doctor that rushes through a visit. Doesn’t care about your questions. Won’t see him again.

Curt, doesn’t explain what’s wrong or listen your concerns. Nearly impossible to get an apt, when you do it’s less than 5 minutes long and you’ll have more questions than when you started. He just doesn’t seem to care about his patients or their well being. His aide, who could be the Antichrist for all her charm, refuses to complete the forms needed to provide a patient with work accommodations, or releases. Forms don’t get touched for a week or more, meanwhile I’m stuck either performing work that will injure me more, or not getting paid becuse she won’t sign the release forms. Absolutely absurd. Worst experience ever. Don’t go. Just don’t. Unless you can afford to loose time from work or even your job, over their laziness.

Dr. Armendariz an excellent surgeon and a thoughtful and thorough medical advisor. I am grateful to him for restoring my ability, to sleep, walk and dance without pain in my feet.

Gave great information! Quick and actuate to understand and didn't rush me out the door!
