Dr. Gustavo Adolfo Fonseca, MD

This is the first time I have ever written any review, but I personally felt it was very important. This year (2018) after extensive testing, I have been diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma due to an immune disorder brought on by my Hypothyroidism. I was referred to Florida Cancer Specialists by my Internist to which I was introduced to and treated by Doctor Gustavo A. Fonseca. I cannot say enough about how wonderful he was, from his through a treatment plan to his attentiveness. I’ve been known to fire Doctors in the past for not receiving the care I felt I deserve or not valuing my time as if it was their own waste, but mostly because I am not a billing plan for their retirement. Dr. Fonseca is one of the few Doctors I can say that he truly CARES takes the time to explain any concerns you may have but most importantly he LISTENS! Also, I can say that he would not be as exceptional without his equally professional passionate caring and supportive staff, from the front desk to the… treatment area they are the best they are truly a reflection of Doctor Fonseca. I just completed my twice yearly check up with Dr. Fonseca. I have been cancer-free for almost 17 years now. I truly believe I am a survivor as a direct result of his expert care! I had Stage 2A breast cancer and received six months of chemotherapy and then six weeks is radiation. Dr Fonseca was there for me every step of the journey, even directing me to resources for financial advice. He has a wonderful bedside manner and never once did I feel I was alone in the battle. I was introduced to him through a relationship who was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin disease. Years later upon receiving my diagnosis, I knew I would never go to anyone but him after I saw the treatment my relationship had received from Dr.Fonseca. I am here by the grace of God and the expertise of Dr. Fonseca. If anyone in my life were to be diagnosed with cancer, I would not hesitate to recommend him to save their life!

Dr. Fonseca was there for me from the beginning. He correctly diagnosed my multiple myeloma cancer and immediately began treatment. That was almost five years ago. I am still here because of him.
