Dr. Halim Fadil, MD

Dr. Halim Fadil has been the most frustrating neurologist I’ve had. I’ve had epilepsy for 9 years and seen multiple specialists, so I’m familiar with my care. At my first visit, I explained I’ve been on the same medication and seizure free, including through 3 pregnancies. Despite this, he suggested changes and didn’t check levels, instead asking me to return in 3 to 6 months to review outdated tests. He prescribed a long-acting version I previously didn’t tolerate, warning it likely wouldn’t be covered. When it wasn’t, I called the same day but received no response. It took over 3 weeks and repeated follow up phone calls to get my original prescription refilled without any proactive communication from the office. He also changed my dosing timing without discussing it. I was told I’d need another appointment to speak with him. For patients with established care, I would not recommend him.

Please look elsewhere. I was recommended to Dr Fadil for RLS. And took the chance in hopes of an answer back in Sept of 2022. While the girls in his office are wonderful, he is NOT. -POOR TIME MANAGEMENT...had to reschedule 3 appts because he was going to be over an hour late. -DOESNT LISTEN...when asked for other options instead of pushing for more medications. -NO FOLLOW THROUGH...he suggested a referral to an RLS expert in Houston almost two months ago and I am still waiting on him to forward that referral. I did fire him yesterday after getting all my medical records. THAT is another issue. MY medical records were sparce, sporadic and listed medications I do not take, actions/suggestions that were never discussed and health issues that I do not nor have ever had. Just Incredibly UNPROFESSIONAL!

Dr. Cadillac is a fantastic neurologist. He took the necessary steps to find out what was causing my problems and what I needed to do to take care of it. Thank heavens for second opinions. I now have my normal life back.

Dr Fadil is an amazing physician who takes the time to speak with his patients and shows genuine interest with compassion and care. Dr. Fadil is considerate and want the best for his patients. I would recommend family and friends to Dr. Fadil any time!

Dr Fadil is a good dr,and attentive. Like others have said there can be a bit of a wait time which can vary from 15-30+ minutes before being called back to do blood pressure and temp etc, then wait as long as an hour in the exam room before seeing you. When he is late there is no explanation or apology why it took so long before he came into the exam room to see me.He does listen and has a wonderful bedside manner and his office staff are nice as well.My only issue on why I would not recommend him as a dr is when it comes to urgent issues regarding my condition or meds I have to nag his office just for a response for things that I should get a call back in hours or at least the same day if not a couple hours,I’ve waited more than a week to get a response to any of my issues from meds or condition. To me that is not acceptable patient-dr behavior. If communication is important to you and quick communication from your dr when it comes to your chronic condition I urge you look elsewhere.… I am and have been seeing him for less than 7 months.

I had daily migranes and headaches for years and nothing I had tried from handfuls of doctors worked. Dr. Fadil listened to my story and history, asking insightful questions that showed that he was really hearing me out and cared. He got me a medicine that worked for me and it has been life changing! Thank you Dr. Fadil!

First of all, my appointment was at 4pm ,and I finally saw the doctor after 5pm. No big deal.....doctors get behind and maybe that means he is very thorough. When he comes in, he has not even reviewed my MRI results (the only reason I was referred there) or any of my blood work. He did ask lots of questions and seem interested in my responses but did not really listen to me. He had a diagnosis in mind before we ever met based on a hand tremor alone. He offered little explanation or comfort except that I should sleep more and probably hit the gym. He told me my imbalance and dizziness issues were caused by lack of sleep (I sleep the same now as I have my entire life) and the fact that I wear cowboy boots. HE wrote me a prescription for a anti-depressant (I'm not depressed) and told me to come back in a month. That was it.

The two stars given were for the friendly office staff and on-time appointments. Dr. Fadil will hear your issues and concerns, but doesn't actually listen. I started having seizures for no known reason with residual pain. When a medication he prescribed did not help, no other option was given. That was the end. Follow up in 4 months. Which I will not be doing.

An outstanding doctor.

I have seen Dr. Fadil recently in his new Arlington office, and prior to that at another location. He has been very sympathetic to my severe migraine problem, and has been able to help me improve my quality of life. I believe he is a very smart doctor, and I trust him. Because I am a candidate for Botox injections for migraines, I don't have to live in the dark all the time, and I'm most appreciative for that. I find Dr. Fadil to be a sincerely kind and caring person, and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a neurologist.
