I was told that my chances of having a child were slim after I had waited for so long. There were medical issues that hindered my chances of getting pregnant and because of my age. Then I finally became pregnant and gave birth to a very premature baby at 26 weeks gestation weighing only 1 pound and 14 ounces. Dr. Udeshi was very supportive and did everything in her power to ensures that I would give birth. She even cut her Thanksgiving vacation to West Virginia very short and coming back to NJ because she didn't want any other doctor making a decision to terminate my pregnancy since I had to be admitted to the hospital when I became 20 weeks pregnant. She was determined to do everything in her power to ensure that I gave birth. Today my daughter is 26 years old. Thank you, Dr. Udeshi.

Called to make an appt as a new patient for a very sensitive issue - follow up after a miscarriage. The person who answered the ph inquired about the situation details at first sounded concerned, which I provided. then she asked about the insurance, which I provided. Right after giving my insurance info, she said, we have nothing available for a while. I mentioned I don't mind waiting a couple of weeks, I just need to see a doctor and make sure everything is ok. She replied, no we have nothing available. I asked her name in order to call back in a week or so to check if something becomes available. She refused to give her name and just said "staff". I tried to inquire her name again and she disconnected the ph line. Giving her the benefit of doubt, I called again and kindly requested for help and mentioned that the line may have gotten disconnected. She said she is unable to speak to me now as an urgent matter has come up. I called after a few minutes, now very upset, asked to speak to… the doctor. The doctor refused to help to make an appointment even after inquiring about the reason for my call since she was busy with an urgent case. Even though haven't yet seen this doctor, I am afraid to go to her. If she/her office discriminates against the insurance plans even after being aware of my condition, how will she provide the care and support i need in future for any other reason. An obgyn's office should be aware of how sensitive and fragile a woman's condition is after a miscarriage. Instead of helping as a doctor under oath, Dr. Hansa udeshi's office flat out refused even though they accept the insurance plan. I would kindly request this doctor to refresh her memory with the oath she took upon becoming a doctor and to honor it for future patients so that no other woman will have to experience what I had to.
