Dr. Happy N Khanna, MD

Maybe it's the timing of our appointments but our wait time has hardly ever been for very long. She is caring and listens and doesn't just engage the parents in conversation, but the child as well. My son is always relaxed and never fearful of his visits.

Dr. Khanna takes her time with each patient and truly cares about everyone. Sometimes I feel frustrated about the wait time until it's our turn and she gives us and our son so much attention, answers questions, gets to know our needs, understands our son's development, provides suggestions, etc. It is always worth the wait. The office staff is also very friendly and the facilities are clean.

I have known Dr. Khanna for 17 years. She is professional, personable, caring and my boys love her. They want her to be their doctor till she kicks them out! When my boys are really sick and need to see her, she has always accomodated them. I would highly recommend her to any new mom.

Dr. Khanna is caring and concerned without being extra fussy.

My son has had her since he was a newborn. She was good at first but it seems as he got older her doctor/patient relationship with him diminished. You would think as he grew up she would know him more but the less she wanted to diagnose him. The final draw was when he has appendicitis and she diagnosed him with "constipation" and send us home. However, outside the room as we were heading out...I saw the look on her face of maybe it's something else but she never said anything. So I took him to the hospital and his appendix has erupted.

My kids have been going to her since birth & they love her! She is very thorough in their regular appts & addresses our concerns when we call. I can usually get an appt with in a few days or walk-in & take my chances in an urgent situation. Like any Drs office the wait can be anywhere from 15min to 45min depending on how busy they are. I try to get there a bit early just in case she's extra busy, like during flu season.

Granted, this is the only pediatrician we've ever had, but service is SERIOUSLY lacking. Dr. Khanna is smart, but she's cold. And her staff is not great. I just expected a pediatrician's office to be warmer than a regular doctor's and have found this one to be less personal, less helpful, less considerate than any doctor's office I've been to in LA.

Very unprofessional if you need to contact her during off hours. Dr. Khanna gets upset and has no sympathy for inexperienced parents. I do not recommend her if you like asking questions, because I can tell she gets irritable. Their office overbooks appointments; therefore, waiting time is too, too long (~1-2 hrs on average) Their office only accepts cash or check, if mailed and payment is not received within 2 days you're charged a $25 fee.
