Dr. Harkirat S Chahal, MD

Unbelievably insensitive doctor. I have severe neck pain from a pinched nerve and lower back pain from an injury that happened to me 20 years ago and when I have flareups which is rare I need pain medicine to help with the pain again rare but there are times that I need it. I requested pain medicine from this doctor, which is the second time in two years that I’ve made this request from this doctor and he sent me an email stating that this is the last prescription that he will provide to me and to make it last as if I was some drug addict. Each prescription he has provided to me has been one weeks worth of medicine. I don’t choose to be in pain and I certainly don’t want to take pain medicine. But if I’m suffering and I’m in so much pain to request it, I would think a doctor would be compassionate about it.

I’ve had serious nerve damage and a herniated disc from a car accident from years ago. Through the years I’ve tried all kinds of injections and pills and naturapathic therapies but nothing had ever resolved my pain for good. Dr. Chahal is the first doctor to make my life pain free. I couldn’t be more thankful or pleased. Would recommend seeing this guy for back pain or injuries. He’s good.

Been going to Dr. Chahal in his Thousand Oaks practice for several months to treat my reoccur-rent migraine headaches. Been seeing great improvement and results, my headaches are much less severe and much less frequent. Even after the very first treatment, I felt a difference in pain levels. Recommend Dr. Chahal’s treatment to anyone suffering from chronic headaches.

This guy is nuts! Don't go to him, he believes we should treat pain like they did in the 90’s and everyone should Just deal with pain. He wants to shoot you full of steroids. He is a scary, scary doctor. He acts like he takes too much prozac. I feel sorry for people who don't know any better. There are great doctors and he is “not” one of them. I was completely freaked out after I saw him. The only reason I went to him is because my Dr got promoted to another area at UCLA and doesn't do pain anymore. This is not your guy if you want intelligent compassionate doctor.

Dr. Chahal took the time to thoroughly review my prior treatment history outside of his care and tailor a care plan based on my previous experiences and future expectations. He is always very attentive and I enjoy his uplifting sense of humor. Definitely recommend.

He gave me my life back. Dealt with my lumbar osteoarthritis and I'm free from pain for the first time in...I can't remember how long.

He attended to my 75 year old mother who previously had a hip replacement and is new to this clinic. We’ve had great success in our first few visit. Doctor Chahal is very professional and informative, he took his time to listen to question and explain procedures. Highly recommend.
