Horrible. His PA broke my ribs during shoulder surgery and didn’t even care to tell me.

Dr. Mejia is confident surgeon and deserves to be just that! I feared my shoulder would never be the same, but after SLAP tear surgery it was better than it had been for 20 years! It's two years later, and the range of movement has only increased over time while the strength is 100%. Thanks Dr, M!

Dr. Mejia took plenty of time with us to make sure he did a thorough exam. We felt very well cared for!

I had knee surgery and never met him only his pa never talked to me before or after the surgery. On follow. Up visit talked only to PA

I loved the care, however their billing practices leave room to be desired. I was told both at my last appointment and on a follow up call 3 months later I was paid in full. 10 months later I receive a past due billing notice.

Great job on shoulder. Everything went as I was told it should. My arm and shoulder works great.

He performed my shoulder replacement & then sent me to PT too soon causing a rotor cup tear. My deltoid musce3l just kind of hangs there and I have terribly limited range. He wanted a 'do over' but I could not afford the cost, regardless of insurence.

I have been a patient of dr mejia for going on two years. Most dr's would have amputated my leg but he chose to save it and put it back together correctly. I still have pain but he has helped me manage it and is a great knowledgeable orthopedic surgeon. He has treated me with compassion and I highly recommend him.

The reason I rated so low as I always saw the PA who is great but my care was supposed to be by Dr Mejia. I had meniscus surgery and saw Dr Mejia a total od maybe 30 minutes throughout my care. He came in 5 mins before surgery , marked my knee and I haven't seen him since, even in recovery I saw the PA.

His assistant always takes at least 2 days to call you back - sometimes never even calls at all. I had to have my shoulder re-operated on a Shands. Could never even get test results back from their ofc. Had to go to Gainesville to get results from an MRI Dr. Mejia ordered in Tallahassee!
