Genuinely concerned for pt well being. Excellent explaining positive vs negative risks and outcomes.

This dr doesn't want your business. His office won't even help us with a simple dislocated shoulder.

Hugh West is the best!

Dr. West spent as much time with me as I needed, I asked all the questions I had and did not feel rushed. He explained in detail what I was facing regarding the recovery process after ACL surgery. His staff is highly competent and have a lot of respect for him personally. He was so careful in my surgery that I had absolutely no bruising or bleeding like I have had with other surgeons. I had a complicated situation but he made sure all of my personal needs were addressed. I highly recommend Dr. West, he is not only an excellent surgeon but also highly ethical person.

This doctor only sees you as a $ sign. Even in cases where surgery isn't needed, Dr. West insists that that's the only way to go. I switched doctors because I couldn't handle him anymore and with the recommendation of my new Dr. I did a lot of physical therapy and am pretty much 100% recovered. I saved myself probably thousands of dollars in surgery. He doesn't really listen to your problems at all. I'd definitely stay away from him.

My dad, and I have both had several surgeries by Dr. West . He is the only surgeon my family trusts. I have ruptured my ACL, and partially tore my meniscus. I am looking forward to my senior year of football, and hopefully, if things go as planned, playing on a collegiate level next year. This all thanks to the caring, and professional nature of Dr. West.

It has been two years since I've seen West and I do believe he mad the right decision. My knee was in bad enough shape that two other specialists would not even look at it. By the time I finally got in with Dr. West it had almost been two weeks since the injury occored and he decided that my knee was actually healing tighter than he would be able to make it so he decided on no surgery. Great news is my knee is now great and I'm playing sports and running, all is well. My main gripe is bedside manner the first appointment he said I was about 1% away from completely blowing out my knee and in follow up visits I felt like he didn't even look at my chart cause then he said with a minor injury like this it will normally heal fine by itself. The injury was bad enough to bounced arround between three specialists and told I would never play sports again without a brace but I guess the first Dr. Was wrong about that cause my knee is working fine.

This dr might be ok if you have good insurance. If your on medicaid like I am right now while I go to school , don,t waste your time. He should be ashamed of himself. He tried to pass me off to someone else, even though I have extreme pain, and two shoulder inpingments, Disgusting!

I love Dr West! I dislocated my knee when I was 13 and I finely had enough of doctors telling me they couldn't do anything for me, but 3 months before I turned 21 I said, "OK one more doctor," and that doctor was Hugh West who I feel in love with the minute he opened his mouth, he was going to do the surgery I should have gotten years ago. Month before I turn 21 I went in got my surgery and when I woke up Dr West was standing over my bed. All throughout the recovery process with P/T he would come in and check on me. Really the best doctor I have ever had, I've even told him that he needs to go into gen med so I can have him fix me all together.Really, people, if you have knee issues go see Dr. West he will make them all go away.
