Dr. Ignacio Sarmina, MD

I had one good visit with Dr Sarmina, but when I called to sc hedule a follow up visit, I was informed that "they" had forced the practice to close. I asked why there had been no notifications sent and was informed that there had been notices sent out. I never received any notice and was left stranded to find another Urologist.

I was told what I wanted to hear, was also told a 1 inch incision and 1-2 weeks recovery time, which was just to get me on board as I was skeptical and never had surgery before. He ended up leaving a 4 inch incision I’m still healing from 3 weeks later and have been in the worst pain of my life yet he insist I “should” be healed now!! Hmmmm, like I said he just wants that check and literally does NOT CARE.!! At all don’t waste your time. You’ll just be left in agonizing pain for weeks on end and him denying you any real relief. What a joke!!

Have been to Dr. Sarmina numerous times and have not had any issues getting in. The office was quick to call back and was very professional. Gave me multiple options to fix my problem even though it took business away from him.

Dr. Sarmina was my fathers Doctor and without a doubt was the best. He had great bedside manner and was very compassionate to the family. We were very sorry when he left Durham NC will never be another Doctor like him.

I haven't had a doctor, ever, that took the time to listen to me, without corralling other patients through. This doctor is a solo practitioner and treats his patients like they are the one and only. I can't say enough nice things about him.

My husband (a veteran) has been waiting for procedures for many months. The doctor does not care about his pain which is extreme and constant. The office help does not return phone calls. They make incorrect appointments, then cancel.
