Dr. Ilene Gewirtz, MD

I had an appointment with Dianne Grace E. Alcala about 7 months ago. It was my first appointment with her, and she rushed me through the initial visit. Which was a pap smear and I had questions about pain during intimacy. I had also asked her to check my hormone levels, because I could tell my personality was off. I also had some other physical issues that showed symptoms of perimenopause. She dismissed me. Told me she would not check my hormone levels and that everything was fine with me. I ended up going to a new gynecologist, and now it turns out that I've been in perimenopause for quite some time. Which was figured out during a hormone blood test and my symptoms. All of which could have been avoided for quite some time if she would have not dismissed my issues and rushed me during my appointment. Needless to say I will never go back to her.

Doctor Gewirtz is the best gyno I have ever been to. She is caring, compassionate and will sit and talk with you if you are unsure of something. She knows her stuff inside and out and really cares for your health. Getting an appointment is hard sometimes but she is packed because she is so good at what she does. I would recommend her to any of my friends. Keep up the good work doc.

even tho i may sometimes have to wait a bit for my appointment- its always worth it because i know that i will have the dr gewirtz or her nurse practitioners full attention when i see them. they are always willing to spend the extra time i may need to fully answer any questions that i may have.

this is the absolute best office ever, everyone is so kind and patient and works with you and your financial situations , the doctor is very thorough and the assistants are also amazing and dont get me started on the receptionists because there are too many good things to say about how wonderful they are, they speak to you with kindness in their voices and help you with anything you need.

Dr. Gewirtz is one of the best, but calling to get an appointment or change one is nealry impossiable. Someone picks up the phone, says to hold, NOT even asks you to please hold and then never comes back on to help you. After holding for a few minutes you get a recording that they are not available and they you must leave a message or go around in circles. Bad phone manners.

I was a first time patient about 6 months ago, and there office was great, friendly and the doctor was great. I since then have gone an additional 2 times and have had a great experience. I would recommend the practice to any patient who likes a true caring doctor and family environment.

I saw Dr. Chindamo and was she awesome. Makes you feel so comfortable. It's nice that they take you in their office and talk to you before you're taken to te exam room. And like I said most comfortable I've ever felt at the gynocologist.

Dr. Gewirtz and her staff are both caring and compassionate toward their patients - they actually listen to what you have to say and take the time to discuss every concern with you.

She is the most caring doctor I have ever met. Her staff reflects this as well. I have never been made to feel as though I don't matter. Dr. Gewirtz, on a scale of 1-10 deserves a 10++.I never feel rushed during my visit and would never hesitate to recommend her to anyone I know.
