Great doctor and very thorough! Doesn’t jump to medications and asks appropriate questions. Great sense of humor with parents and explains things well for a new parent. He makes sure you understand what was discussed at the visit before you leave. Love him and highly recommend.

My son, now 4 has also been a patient of Dr. Khan since birth. I too disagree with the negative comments. Dr. Khan is one of those very smart people whom is very good natured but sometimes makes a social mis-step. But I see his technical expertise when he and my scientist wife discuss diagnosis at a high level. Thats quality.

Dr. Khan has been our sons doctor since he was a week old-he is now 6 years old.He is a great diagnostician and he really cares about his patient,our son.The office staff is wonderful.They are so understanding when we call for a sick visit-they make sure we talk to a nurse either right then or we get a call back within 15 mins.The nurses are our lifeline-whether 3am or 3pm, the weekends - anytime,they are there.Dr.Khan is wonderful-so caring and connects with our son-he actually likes going to the dr! I read the other comments posted and must say I truly disagree.He has his individual style/sense of humor but in no way has he ever been condescending.He is silly with the kiddos to help connect with them. He is conversational with our son and that is how he gets the info he needs(along with our input if needed).When it is time to focus/be serious he shifts gears and is all about diagnosing what is going on. The other doctors & NP's that are part of the practice are great as well. We… never feel rushed when we are in with one of them. We highly recommend Dr. Khan - he's great.

Franklin Pediatrics is a great practice. I just do not recommend him. He is so condescending.

Very crude

I am 16 years old and visited Dr. Khan since my regular doctor was unavailable that day. I had prepared a post-it note showing the timing of different symptoms and medications. Usually, when I come prepared like that, doctors always appreciate it and tell me that documenting things is very helpful. When Dr. Khan came into the room, he sat across from me, while my dad was sitting on the other side of the room. As we started speaking about my cold, Dr. Khan saw my dad holding the post-it and reading off of it. Suddenly, Dr. Khan jumped up and hurled himself at my dad and snatched the post-it from him, jumped back, took a quick look and gave it to me. This was quite shocking. When I started giving more details about my cold, I often read off from my notes to be as specific as possible. At one point, when Dr. Khan noticed that I didn’t read off the notes for one of his questions, he commented: “See, you just answered a question without looking at your notes.” His tone was heavy with… sarcasm, implying that I couldn’t do anything without reading. Before I could react to that, he added: “I see you studied for this visit”, placing me in a category of stereotypical geeks. Later, when he suggested I buy a rinsing device, we remembered we still had one at home. Dr. Khan, however, commented: “Yeah, I don’t know how clean that would be”, implying that we were unhygienic and didn’t clean out the device. Furthermore, when Dr. Khan said that I had to use saline packets because regular water would hurt. Pointing at my father, he added: “Don’t let him hurt you”, as if my father would try to hurt me. Due to this pattern of offensive, derogatory and hostile behavior, I would not recommend Dr. Khan.
