Dr. Jack Shilling, MD

My husband is 82 years old and has many health problems which was the main reason given us by 3 other reputable Surgeons for absolutely refusing to do this hip replacement surgery. Thankfully, when my husband's Cooper Endocrinologist, heard of our dilemma he advised us that his “go to” person for this would be Dr. Jack Shilling. Because of our high regard for not only his Endocrinologist, but for all of our Cooper Specialists, Primary Care Doctor and Cardiologist, we contacted Dr. Shilling praying he would not turn us away as the other Surgeons did. Dr. Shilling not only did not turn us away, but after very in-depth conferences with each of our Specialists, determined he could indeed give my husband back his quality of life which was really all we could ever hope or ask for. Dr. Shilling’s surgery was a complete success and my husband no longer has the excruciating groin and hip pain that he had for over 3 years...his quality of life is back!!

After a very poor experience with another group of surgeons and a last minute cancelled surgery, Dr Schilling was an awesome find caring about my well being above all else. I listened and worked my recovery as I was suppose to and a quick and easy recovery

Having suffered with a poor knee replacement, I went to Dr. Jack. Looking for reassurance that I picked the correct Dr, I asked why are YOU the one to help me? Dr. Jack blew me off, he was busy and didn't have time for this, "you picked me, I did not pick you". I never went back. I think I made the correct choice.

He did my left knee replacement, and did an excellent job. His bedside manner was fantastic.

If you can overlook him being a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, then you can't go wrong with Dr. Shilling. He's easy to talk to, has excellent people skills and takes the time to explain your issues & all options available to address them. He takes a sincere interest in his patients well being and it shows.

Dr. Schilling is a straight-shooter who initially addressed my options while he displayed and explained where I lacked cartilage. His discussion touched on what benefits I could get from cortisone and other anti-inflamitories in the short term. Dr. Schilling was not pushy; he allowed me to make surgery election, one which was not immediate. After surgery, his articulate aftercare plan enveloped a strong aqua care rehab. This was more needed than normal with a Heavy patient. The Hip replacement operation was a success, and while the core goal concerned hip function, It was great to see the scar fuse completely.

I would highly recommend Dr Shilling. He is the best knee replacement surgen ever. My mother recently had both knees replaced and from not walking she is walking within a month from her surgery. She is doing great and the best thing about Dr Shilling he will go over everything could possibly happen and will make sure to get you informed for everything before the surgery. He was also recommended from her vain doctor as she had several complications and was high risk to get the surgery. But there she is happy and healthy. He realy is the best orthopedic doctor in the area. I will highly recommend if you have a knee or hip problem contact Doctor Shilling at Aria3B.

Dr Jack Shilling was always patient and kind during all my office visits. He always took time to listen to my concerns and was always willing to explain in full detail the problems and the way to take care of them. he was an excellent surgeron the 2 times I experienced it with him. I had a total knee replacement in jan 2011 and he was there every morning redressing the incision on his own. Very kind, understanding and caring doctor. The only thing that bothers me is that it is very hard to get thru to scheduling and trying to leave a message for the doctor to get back to me. I have been experiencing some problems with my knee and have emailed his assistant and have tried to get thru but have been unsuccessful. If this can be solved I would be a very happy camper. thanks

If you are looking for an excellent surgeon in orthopedic care, Dr. Shilling is your man. He is caring and will take the time to listen to you. I had a knee replacement in Dec. 2010 and it went extremely well. I will be getting the second done in the next several moonths and want only Dr. Jack Shilling.
