Dr. Jahmal Anthony Hairston, MD

I recently started seeing Dr. Hairston. I was highly impressed from the beginning. He was friendly, concerned and very professional. Even his staff is friendly and professional. I have NO DOUBT that he will get to the root of whatever my issue is. The pains I was initially experiencing have subsided considerably. Thank GOD! I honestly feel I was BLESSED to be sent to him. I trust him and have faith in his abilities. And, BECAUSE of that, as well, I'm VERY PROUD of him! I'd recommend him to anyone, and I HAVE! He is still working with me to get to the root of my issues. He's become a blessing to me! I thank him immensely! God BLESS him!

My son and I moved to Georgia from another state. Not long after arriving, I started to feel bad, so my son took me to the Wellstar Cobb Hospital. The ER doctor referred me to Dr. Hariston. Let me say, I am a joyful, happy, joke telling a person. Well the first time I met him, I didn't like him. On my second appointment, he was completely different - smiling, talking and telling jokes. Since then, he and his staff have been Terrific. I would refer him to anyone I know.

Dr. Hairston was not overly concerned about class III lip tie & posterior tongue tie or its effect on breastfeeding, but stated he would clip both. He advised scheduling an appt for the 10-min procedure. When we were hesitated to make additional appt, he reluctantly agreed to clip both ties the same day. He said he would numb lip tie area but not the tongue tie as there are no nerve endings there. He took our 2-wk old son to another room & only clipped the lip tie. He stated after that the tongue tie wasnâ??t a problem & to come back if it did continue to present a problem. As a mom, I did not feel confident in his knowledge & donâ??t have a good feeling about him after our experience. I believe he clipped the lip tie first & then couldn't clip the tongue tie because baby was crying. He should have clipped the tongue tie first. The tongue tie is still causing a problem with baby's latch and now I need to see another ENT to have this corrected.

First let me say, I don't do well with Doctors. I was referred to Dr. Hairston by my doctor so I went in with a feeling of confidence. Doctor Hairston is not the warm and fuzzy type doctor and I'm not a warm and fuzzy patient so we hit it of pretty early. I expressed my concerns and thoughts up front and we did the same. At that point I felt we had an understanding and we went from there. Dr. Hairston is a knowledgeable and capable Doctor, he explained what was going to take place before and during the surgery and that made me feel at ease, that was important to me. The issue I did have was with the staff. The communication between the department's need some improvement. Other then that my experience was positive.

I was very pleased with my visit. The wait was short, the Dr. took his time to explain everything, and they caught and removed a mass. I usually don't give reviews (although I do read them) and after reading the previous reviews I wanted to share my experience. I'm happy:-)

I visit Dr. Hairston twice. He's courtesy, but very stiff as if he's scared to speak or something. He wasn't very informative about my condition and when I asked a question his answers would be quick and short. I felt like my visits there were wasted! And I wasn't about to waste another co-pay for a 5-min visit. Anytime I had a question, he was either in surgery or I had to make another appointment, which meant another co-pay, just to get advice or something. The only thing good about this office is the wait time, other than that. I don't agree with others regarding their positive visits.

I have seen many doctors that have either ran many test with no answers or just didn't listen to my complaints. I was hopeless when I was referred to yet ANOTHER specialist. I went to the appointment despite my attitude and I was pleasantly surprised. I would like to encourage anyone frustrated with the medical process to stick with it. What I have learned is that you have to just stick with it until God places you with the "right" doctor. One that will listen, take your complaints seriously, and offer solutions! Dr. Hairston made me feel human again AND he found the root cause of all of my complaints without having to run unnecessary test. I am now better and I see him for follow-up only. He's now working on "fixing" my husband's medical problems. He is our family physician for life now!

I have been to many different Doctor's about my allergies (all told me that I didn't have allergies) and I decided to try Dr. Hairston. I am very satisfied at the overall professionalism of Dr. Hairston and his staff. He was able to not only help with my allergies but find something else that I wasn't aware was a problem. He was short of saving my life. I can tell that he is passionate about his work and truly cares about people. I have referred ALL of my family and friends to Dr. Hairston and he has performed surgery on a family member who is also very pleased with him. Good job Dr. Hairston. Keep doing what you're doing!

Wonderful Doctor with a great staff. Very helpful and friendly. You do not feel like your in assembly line at Dr. Hairston's office.
