Dr. James Robert Alberts, MD

Went to see Dr. Alberts for a numbness, tingling in my right arm. He took x-ray and couldn't see what he wanted to ordered MRI. MRI showed disc degeneration and stenosis with some damage to my spinal cord in the C5-C6 area. He recommended surgery within 4-6 weeks. I got surgery in 3 weeks and are recovering now. I feel great and my arm has no numbiness or tingling. I highly recommend Dr. Alberts, very knowledgeable, very experienced and communicated well through the whole procedure. I received a diagnosis from Dr. Alberts that it was my spine and then Dr. Parsons told me that he changed his mind and it was my hip. I was advised to come in apparently as a new patient as i had to fill out new paperwork to get the correct result. I felt i should have been able to get that result from a phone call which i requested. No comment. Very disappointing.

Went to Dr. Alberts today. He and his staff could not have been better. Really appreciated the time he took to discuss the issue. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Alberts took the time to answer my questions and do a thorough review of my x-ray films. He did some additional examination and testing as well as asking me questions before providing me with a diagnosis and treatment options. He immediately set me up with a prescription for physical therapy and an epidural steroid injection for my lumbar spine, was very clear in recommending me to two therapists he personally preferred.

After getting a 2nd opinion on needing a discectomy I went back to Dr.Alberts and he did my surgery.Everyone was very nice and did an awesome job. My husband works at an ER and was impressed.

He puts a patient at ease and treats one respectfully. He is very organized and courteous.

Many docs I have seen I felt rushed and hardly can get a word in edgewise. Dr. Alberts spent a good 10-15 minutes with me reviewing my MRI results and addressing my concerns. He laid out my options and helped me determine what would work best for me which in my case was to not consider surgery at this time. I appreciated his honesty and he really explained things in laymans terms since I do not have a medical degree. At the end he even said if I have questions to call and he will call me back personally. I was a bit shocked to see that I was billed for $400 for the consult but that is how things go in our corrupt health system.

Dr. Albert performed not one but two Knee repair's for me and I am very pleased. I have now the left knee to deal with and I am looking forward to his expert opinion's and procedure.

After visiting this doctor once I requested all of my records and had my spinal fusion surgery successfully performed at UW Medical Center.
