Lifesaver Dr Economou saw me after my dermatologist removed a stage 2 melanoma from my calf. Due to his diligence he ordered a body scan before surgery and found the cancer had already spread to the lymph nodes in my groin. He removed all of the nodes in my groin and a large area of my calf. Due to the aggressive cancer the oncologist gave me a 50/50 chance of beating the cancer. It’s been a year so far and no return of the cancer. If not for the experience and brilliance of Dr E I don’t think I would have made it. He’s a very intelligent & humble man. Can’t thank him enough. His staff is top notch as well.

I had a mole change and it was diagnosed as malignant melanoma by my dermatologist. Needless to say the worst call of my life. My dermatologist told me he had already arranged for me to see Dr. Economou immediately for surgical removal. Dr. Economou was rearranged his schedule in order to perform the surgery ASAP, which was seven days after diagnosis and five days after my appointment with him. He is a brilliant and gifted surgeon who is very gentle and kind. He successfully surgically removed all of the malignant melanoma and did a special technique called mapping to see where it could spread to and then removing those lymph nodes as a precautionary measure and then analyzing them to see if it has in fact spread. Thanks to his quick response, the melanoma did not have a chance to spread anywhere. I now have peace of mind knowing he got it all before spreading. I am very lucky to have caught it so soon and to have such a wonderful surgeon. It is very easy to make appointments… as well as make any change in them as well. His staff is very caring and super friendly as well. They always remember me and are very professional. Dr. Economou is simply the best. He explains everything to you and he is very caring. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is really helping people every day and saving their lives. What is really great about him is that he is very humble, truly a great person and brilliant surgeon. I am able to do everything now that I did before my diagnosis. I got a second chance at life thanks to Dr. Economou.
