Dr. James Franklin Scoggin III, MD

I broke both bones in my ankle in 1996 walking the Diamond Head trail (my second day in Hawaii). Dr. Scoggin performed the surgery (plates, pins); and when I returned to Portland, OR a local surgeon commented, "He did an excellent job." I never had the hardware removed, but do still use my soft cast for support during the very infrequent times my ankle aches. The scars were negligible, and twenty-plus years later I walk perfectly fine. Thank you, Dr. Scoggin!

In early 2007, I met with Dr Scoggins to review problems with my shoulder. The diagnosis, following an MRI was a tear of my supraspinatus muscle. The surgery repaired a complete tear. I had three months of physical therapy. Due to the excellent work of Dr Scoggins and the physical therapist. my shoulder has been, with the notable exception of the scar, without problem for the last four years.

He never treated my knee condition right and it turned out I have a meniscus problem.
