James R Malinak, MD

Dr. Malinak is an awesome Rheumatologist & Physician! He's also doubled as my family physician, for 18 years. I like him because of his wonderful bedside manner. He is very low key, positive, caring & very knowledgeable on many things....for me that's great since I am a bit of a complicated case with my Ehlers Danlos. Yet he doesn't have a huge ego like some other physicians....meaning that if he doesn't know something, he'll admit it & then research it... or consult with another physician or specialist for an answer. I'd highly recommend him & you'd be lucky to have him as your physician. His Nurse, Tracy, is also wonderful, caring & friendly! On a side note, like many physicians these days, Dr. Malinak doesn't do Pain Mgmt. & will likely refer you to a Pain Mgmt Specialist, if needed~

Refused my prescription refill once I got new medi- cal coverage that he does not accept. Have been seeing him for over 10 years, suddenly treats me like a stranger and refused my normal pain prescription in the interim of finding a new doctor. Unbelievable how I was treated, his business is obviously more important than his customers.

Seen him for years. Always attentive. Never rushes. Extremely caring

I would absolutely recommend this doctor if you want a skilled professional with a very caring bedside manner. You'll always feel like your health is in good hands with Dr. Malinak.
