Dr. McCoy grew up on Long Island. His dad was a physician and mom was a nurse. Joined the navy after residency. After Navy service started solo orthopedic practice in Charleston in 1978. 2 years later joined Dr Cox in Lowcountry Orthopedics. Learned small boat sailing and fly fishing from his dad. Eagle Scout. He Enjoys tennis and snow skiing. His wife JoAnn is a nurse. Blessed with 7 kids and 13 grandchildren.
