Dr. James W Osborne, DO

Tried to get me to do a procedure, when I wanted another option. He wanted nothing to do with me. Find someone who cares!

My wife has lost her voice. She is a singer and this condition is dangerous for her. We called for an appointment and were told the soonest is possibility was three weeks out. Clearly Osborne's office cannot provide effective urgent care. I would suggest finding a different office if you need to be seen quickly. Of course, we do not have any advice to offer regarding the doctor's quality of service in an urgent situation. For routine matters he has been great.

We went in for a 7am appointment with my 15 month old and were not seen until 8:15am. They took the two other patients ahead of us knowing we had a toddler. We saw the doctor for about 5 minutes and I did not see that the room was cleaned in between our visit and the precious. The scheduling person was not knowledgeable and unhelpful when trying to schedule her surgery. She was also obviously sick at the desk. The surgery appt. for tubes was made for a month out at banner del Webb, where he apparently always operates at after 12pm. I didn’t find this out, despite asking SEVERAL times, until two days before the tubes were scheduled. Every time I would call and ask or leave a message the office personel claimed “they did not know”. Overall, it was a very poor experience and I would not recommend to anyone.

I brought images with me for him to review. He did not ask about my allergies that I have. I asked for my records and he put in them we discussed all of this in detail. He failed to provide options for my concerns. I am disputing with the insurance company!!!!

We scheduled the consult after a long battle w a continual ear infection with multiple antibiotics and a course of steroids from her Pcp. We got to the office and they took my daughter straight to the area where they do heating screens. Had that done then went to the exam room. Dr Osborne came in and did his assessment and told us it had all cleared up and that we could come back if we had any other concerns. We went in thinking she was going to get tubes. It was reassuring that he didn’t push an unneeded surgery on her. His bedside manner was good, I felt his compassion right away. I would recommend him! I think he fair and honest.

This was my second opinion on how I was feeling my ears were hurting and became worse I called every day for them to see me, unbalanced and dizzy, hearing feeling it was decreasing hearing test shows normal but my ears say different I won't go here again...

Dr. Osborne is great, I would highly recommend him for anyone needing an ENT!! He has my every confidence as a doctor after having heard his explanation of my son's condition/diagnosis, prognosis, testing results, forward treatment planning and things to expect. I went to him for a second opinion and wish my doctor would have referred to him in the first place to save us from the "run around". His staff is wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful in each of their specialties- providing the same comprehensive communication as did Dr. Osborne. I am a healthcare provider and will be passing his name on for a top referral source as well as using he and his staff for my own patients!!! It was a breath of fresh air to feel like the people treating you/us knew what they were doing!

I think this is the best doctor such a nice bed side manner. Very kind and caring. Great surgeon so glad I was referred to him.

James Osborne is a wonderful doctor, the way he diagnosed our son is very good and the treatment was very good. Now my son is hearing properly and has no ear problem. Thanks to James Osborne for the wonderful support over the period of treatment.

I got an appt right away and was taken into the office right away, but everythign went downhill from there. I've only been to see Dr. Osborne once - earlier this week. I'm supposed to be scheduled for an MRI that his staff was supposed to schedule. I've called his Phoenix office twice today - the first time I believe the cleaning crew picked up the phone and the second time the girl was rushed and unprofessional (Megan). I think this is a sign to RUN from this office. There's other doctors out there that care about the image the staff is making upon him. I've seen enough reviews about his staff being horrible so my experience seems to be nothing NEW. Only new to me because I "was" a new patient. It's very sad to see what the medical field is turning into. since we usually have to go through the staff to get to the doctor ... my decision is going to be to find someone else. I can only hope Dr. Osborne cares enough to read these reviews and do something about the courteousness and professionalism of his staff. You're dealing with our health - take it as serious as we do!

My 5 year old son had a surgery on his nose and tonsils. When the doctor saw him for the consultation he seemed rushed. He looked at my sons nose for about 2.3 seconds and immediately said he needed surgery for tonsils, adenoids, and nose tissue. I thought a little excessive but he said he has been doing this a lot. Surgery cost over $4000 and took 15min and he had a very rough recovery for 9 days. It has been IMPOSSIBLE to get in for a follow up appointment, they would not schedule one saying they would call the day before and I had to force them to schedule it so I could take off work. Then the morning of the appointment they call to cancel and wont reschedule for two weeks. I asked to talk to the doctor, they say no, I asked to have his email, they refused. I had to stay on the phone until the office manager would speak to me and finally say he could come in for his appointment that would take 1 minute. This doctor has way too many patients and does not have the time to give quality care to them all.

My mother went to Dr. Osborne and the total focus of the visit was spent on trying to sell her hearing aids. He did not listen to her symptoms and did not give an accurate diagnosis. A second opinion from another doctor confirmed she did not need hearing aids. After receiving the accurate diagnosis, her hearing problem resolved itself.

Had to wait over 30 minutes outside with three other patients as no one was there on time to open the office. Waited an additional 40 minutes inside to see doctor. Doctor unconcerned about my ear pain, said it was due to allergy to Q-Tip. Or due to tooth grinding and I should get a mouth guard from my dentist "If you have a dentist" he said in a condescending tone. Said Tinnitis which I'd had for over a year would "probably go away as suddenly as it appeared". Then he informed me the wrinkle on my neck looked like a surgery scar. I'm old and wrinkled! He prescribed an expensive moisturizing ear drop, which my insurance didn't cover. I called the office to tell them that and ask if I could get something my insurance would cover and the woman I spoke to said "No, that's it, sorry." The entire staff was uncaring.

I love this Doctor! Extremely professional, yet truely cares about me as a patient. He took the time to listen to my concerns and made sure to follow-up! I absolutely recomend him!

Took the time and I made a full recovery on my nose surgery.

Dr. misrepresented the overall recovery of the surgery that was performed. Even the Audiologist mimicked the words which were being used by Dr. O in representing the healing. After getting a second opinion from an MD, we came to realize that these Dr. O along with his Audiologist were unethical professionals.
