Dr. James S Goodman, MD

Has been able to help me through a few things already. I have also only recently started comming to him for my care and I am very glad that I did. Few doctors now days would like to do therapy and perscribed medication, but I have found that this is the truely best way to do it. I felt when I had a therapist and a psychiatrist it's hard to restate everything I would talk with my therapist with. Seeing a how not only is doctor Goodman a good therapist, but a good doctor as well I am very pleased to be going to him for my care.

Dr. Goodman as a therapist has listened to me as I unraveled several emotional knots. He sent me to get help for an unrelated knee injury to a quality professional. I have seen him since 1998. I have been able to attend college successfully, obtaining an associates degree from CNM in Liberal Arts. He has followed up closely when I had problems showing up in bloodwork from a side effect from a medication he prescribed. I have developed a practice of meditation with both physical and mental aspects with him. He is a quality doctor.

I visited Dr. Goodman because I was suffering from extreme anxiety, depression, disorganization, and confusion related to leaving my job after experiencing a hostile work environment. I met him once, and the second visit, I accidently wrote the appt. on the wrong date. He simply informed me, "well, you owe me $226 for your missed appointment." He wasn't willing to work out a payment plan or give me a break in anyway, despite my disorganization being one of the reasons I was seeking treatment. So I ended up without treatment, due to the fact that I could not afford to pay him and the copay for another provider.
