This was my first visit with Dr. Pope and his presence was welcoming. Dr. Pope listened to what I had to say and made me feel heard, something that I don't always experience when visiting other doctors. He's about helping his patients find a solution to their health issues.

Dr Pope is very kind and compassionate. He listens to what the patient has to say.

Dr. Pope is a class act. He takes the time to explain things thoroughly and is very knowledgeable. In addition, I did not feel rushed during my appointment. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I switched to Dr. Pope several years ago after my previous pulmonologist retired. I must start by saying I absolutely loved my prior pulmonologist so Dr. Pope had some big shoes to fill. I happen to work at Hartford Hospital and work very closely with all of the pulmonologist in the group. When my doctor told me he was retiring and that a new pulmonologist in the practice would be taking over his patients I asked if I had to go to her or could i choose a different doctor. He asked who I would choose and I immediately said Dr. Pope. After working with him for many years I knew what a talented doctor he was but I also had the luxury of observing him with his patients and their families in the ICU a very difficult time in their lives. He truly cares about his patients and I knew he would be my 1st choice to replace my doctor. As sad as I was to lose my doctor, Dr. Pope has gone above and beyond my high expectations of him. He is a absolutely the best and I would highly recommend him to… anyone in need of a pulmonologist.

Dr. Pope listens carefully and explains fully. I felt that he genuinely wanted to help me with my complicated issues, and would not give up until he was able to. In my opinion, he is simply the best. In addition, the appointments are timely....rare in today's medical professions.
