Dr. James Paul Tweeten, MD

Dr. Tweeted did my cataract surgery and implanted the wrong lens. Do not risk your sight or health with this guy.

I am impressed with Dr Tweeten and his knowledgeable staff. Everything went smoothly, and I can see clearly again! Thank you, Dr Tweeten and your staff!

My experience with Dr. Tweeten was horrible. When I asked questions, he made me feel stupid for asking them in the first place. When I expressed concern about headaches I was getting, and the fact that I could see better without my glasses on, he wrote me my new prescription and said, "Don't expect this to help much." before walking out of the office. I would never recommend him to anyone looking for an ophthalmologist.

Excellent care

Not impressed. He never ever talked to me directly, only talked into his dictation machine leaving me to 'eavesdrop' on his notes to find out how I was doing. On one visit he had me confused with another patient and told me my eyes looked fine dispite my diabetes. i told him i have never had diabetes and he looked at my record and said he thought i did. He mischarged me and I disputed the charge. I got no response until his office turned my $8 (that's right, eight dollar) balance over to collections and wrote me a letter saying he won't see me again. AS IF I WERE PLANNING TO GO BACK!

Right before our visit Dr. Tweeten was in the next room yelling at his assistants. The whole office overheard this. It was unprofessional. He gave them his "off the hook" lecture. As a patient it was so not cool to hear him yelling and then have him come into my exam room to see my handicapped aunt, who was now scared. He was brash and exited the room before we were given the chance for questions. This is not practicing compassion. The patient didn't feel safe. And I was horrified at how he treats his staff.

I will not be going back to see Dr Tweeten. I felt he did not listen to anything I said, gave me a lecture on caring for my eyes, and I know to do this, saw everyone else in the office and waited and waited for him. He spent maybe 5 minutes with me and told me that something should have been done years ago for me, that at this point makes absolutely no difference. I thought he was rude and I really disliked being shuffled from place to place in the office and waiting. After waiting for an hour, everyone was told that the doctor was a little behind, couldn't they have done that when I checked in? I maybe old fashion, but doctors office shouldn't be only for the money, just because I wasn't there for a surgery doesn't mean I shouldn't have the same consideration in my care.
