Dr. Jane Elizabeth Kaufman, MD

I don't know her but she was a attendant during the delivery of me back in December 2004.

I had to wait 3 hours and then was treated poorly by the staff, then was passed off to a different doctor. They didn't take my weight and had me do my blood pressure test a few times as they didn't like the results - it was high. Over a month passed and I did not receive a call with the results of my pap smear. When I called, I told whoever answered the phone that I could not come in due to coronavirus so she told me that my pap smear was abnormal and that a doctor would call me. that did not happen. I called and spoke to someone reasonable who said that the receptionist would call me back with details and also send me an email with a release form so I could get my records from the visit. The receptionist called me back, was rude and told me that I had to come in to the office. I told her I had to speak to a doctor and she hung up on me. I tried calling back 3x and was hung up on each time. Needless to say, I'd rather start over with a responsible, quality practice then deal with… these hacks.

Worst doctor I've ever seen. Doesn't deserve to have a medical license.

She was wonderful, I never want to see anyone else!

Dr. Kaufman was amazing through both of my pregnancies. She was thorough and took her time with me. No detail was missed. Now I have two healthy boys and I'm very thankful to her.

I love Dr. Kaufman. She is the best doctor I ever had.

Shes very nice and does not rush you even if she has 10 other patients to attend to. I hate to be rushed and wouldnt mind waiting. She is the 3rd doctor i saw in this practice and by far she is the best out of all the others. Would highly recommend her to anyone!

I recently had my first baby under Dr. Kaufman's supervision. I am fully satisfied and want to visit her in again for the next baby. Long before I had pre-ecclampsia, she told me to be careful and gave me a thorough guidance through out my pregnancy. I am very thankful to her and will recommend everyone to visit. You will forget your pain and discomfort just after talking to her. She is that caring. Good Luck!!

and as such, VERY difficult to get an appointment as a new patient or for an annual if you are not pregnant. Dr. Kaufman is extremely knowledgeable and her approach to labor and delivery is no-nonsense. She took my concerns about PPD very seriously and counseled me over the phone much longer than I expected. Dr. Kaufman has a reputation as one of the best OBGYNs in the city and seeing her over the course of my pregnancy and follow-up it was clear that she had earned that reputation. Wait times were never exorbitant and receptionists were usually very friendly and helpful, though the same cannot be said of her nurse who answers calls (or doesn't).

The office staff is VERY unhelpful in making follow-up appointments to your convenience. Most OB practices after a certain stage in pregnancy (like for example 28 weeks or whatever) encourage you to see other partners..but this place is odd...I am 31 weeks and I can't easily make the days Dr. Kaufman is in without missing a ton at work, have a long commute to the clinic, but they would just NOT let me see another doctor at practice. I don't know why. Very uncooperative even when you request.
